I wish i had your "balls" when i was 17. At that age i started working part-time to pioneer, never went on to college, married young as most do. It looks like you really have your head screwed on. Just focus and concentrate on what you want to do and what you want out of life. It will take time to deal with the issues surrounded by your being df'd. But never let go of that focus and live your life how you want.

Concentrate on standing on your own two feet, boyfriends may come and go, that said it sounds like you have a good one.

Go out there and live that life of yours to the full, without all the WT b***sh*t.

how many insiders?

hi everyone, i'm new here, been viewing the board for a while, decided to join yesterday.. so i'm about 95% convinced now the wts is bogus, but i'm still in coz as yall know leaving is the hardest part.

i plan on doing a fade to avoid the complete disconnection, but first want to gradually help my gf to see things too.

recently i posted a thread that i no longer wish to take part in discussions here as i felt uncomfortable wt bashing.

however, i feel that i have to start posting if only from time to time as i am at a very different stage as i was only 4 weeks ago.

i know i haven't been 'disfellowshipped' from here, even though i've disagreed with forum rules recently or have i 'disassociated' myself from this board as i still feel myself drawn to it.. i'll try to be brief with this, but the content could be drawn out.. as some of you are aware i have been battling alcoholism or alcohol dependency as i prefer to call it now (thats another story).

I also haven't come across the other translations of "for" babylon instead of "at" babylon.

The flaw is that you, as well as the WT, want to make a prophesy fit into history. Could it be possible that the prophesy was missapplied of never came true at all?

I do not want to make any prophecies. What i want to do is look at all the evidence before i make a decision. I do not want to accept that 587/6 is the date just because the majority of scholars say so. I would rather examine it for myself. Upon examing it the probability is that 587/6 is the date, but it is not 100% as some portray.

And yes the prophecy is/was missapplied.

The thing that has me about 607 v 587/6 is that the latter doesn't take into account the 70 year desolation. For me scholars should at the very least take the bible as an historical document. I am not saying 607 is the date, but 587/6 has a flaw.
