Whats the Craziest thing you've heard a JW blame Satan for????
by superman inas most of you know, that evil spirit creature known as satan the devil is of course after jw's and only jw's.
i can remember this middle aged lady at my old hall give a comment on how "satan works in the most mysterious ways against jehovah's people, he even has the teachers give out more homework on meetings nights so that he can make it more difficult for the young ones to attend the meetings".
at that time i was hardcore in it, and even thought this lady is a "looney-tune".

I put up a fence for a sister when i was 19 years old. I hadn't got a clue what i was doing, the fence was 150 feet long and i had never nailed two pieces of wood together before. Anyway after a week of almost completion we had a storm, most of the fence blew over. I went around to their house. Her husband who wasn't a witness was not very happy to say the least, i was embarassed trying to make my excuses. He went off in a rage and we decided to part company, they would get the professionals in.
As i was going she said, "Satan does give us these trials doesn't he?". I agreed, it was much easier to blame Satan than my own shoddy workmanship.

So are my JW friends really my friends - or not?
by BonaFide ini am being investigated judicially, although weeks are going by without the elders saying anything to me about it.
i still comment and give my talks.. anyway, some of my friends are getting word about me being investigated, some in my family too.
a couple i used to preach with every week no longer call me and bug me to join them.

The friendship they offer you is conditional, i think you are finding that out as time goes on. I'm also sorry to say that the love and friendship you had for your brother was also conditional. You may have felt in your heart that you were doing the right thing, i am also sure deep down that you did love your brother, but it is only now that you are offering your brother unconditional love and friendship.
If you were ever to leave the 'truth' and you began to experience friendships with so called 'worldly' people, you will begin to see the difference between real friends and conditional friends.
Just my thoughts.

I used to be a quality assessor at the UK's Toyota factory.
Although i can tell you where every spot weld is on the Avensis and Corolla i know nothing of gaskets.
If anyone wants to buy a Lexus don't until you PM me first. They are just Toyota's in drag, ran down the same line and everything.

I am not a racist but i am prejudiced.
I believe everyone is prejudice, it makes it easier for us to define people or draw a conclusion on someone. Whereas racism is all about acting on those prejudices.
Some people say that to be racist you have to be the one with the power, this leads some to say that minorities cannot be racist, interesting and debateable.
I can see what BTS means that race is a social construct, in turn racism is a social construct. It doesn't mean however that it does not exist.
Ultimately it should be realised, "that there is no race except the human race."

Do JW's reveal all their doctrines to those they study the Bible with?
by BonaFide inyes, the fairly new bible teach book contains some info in the appendix, but do witnesses include that in the study?.

All i can say is that i knew all these issues before i got baptised. I would have thought many know about Judicial Commitees, etc.
