last night at meeting they told us to just use our blood cards from last year.
in the past they've always told us how important it was to get it signed every year so that people could see our current views as jw's.....doesn't this new arangement negate everything they've ever said in regards to this?

who needs this kind of aggravation? i mean maybe being a dub isnt so bad. at least then you have all the answers to lifes questions. who cares if they are true on not if you believe them thats all that matters. least you can live and die with a purpose and meaning to life. oh forget it, i know that makes no sense.maybe i've been talkin to too many dubs lately. i mean they make no sense when they try to answer my questions about things i have found out but its like they dont need answers cause they are perfectly satisfied that this is the Jahs org and they will happily serve in it forever. maybe its not so bad to turn a blind eye. at least you have a group of people all over the world that you are a part of. at least you are a part of something ya know? and not just thrown out here alone in the world with no one.
maybe compromising ones conscience isnt so bad if its for a good reason, like keeping you from a lonely miserable existance. especially if we could be wrong anyway then it wouldnt be a compromise afterall.
being a part of "the crowd" is a comfortable feeling, but i'd rather have my own thoughts and at the very least the illusion of some sort of meaning in my life. many of you are no doubt familiar with the nov.1, 2001 "letter to all branches" putting forth the the library card defense.
(the letter can be seen at: ) i gave a copy of the letter to a jehovah's witness friend of mine who took it to one of his elders.
the elder said the letter is a fake because: (1) it is not written on official wt letterhead and (2) watchtower does not send such correspondence via the (eeeevil) internet.
this letter is not a fake...it is word for word the response that "badwillie" received....it is a form letter for anyone who asks about the UN connection. pathetic pathetic pathetic.

my wife and I have discussed this issue at length many, many times, and we really haven't reached a firm conclusion yet. One thing we are considering, once we get settled in Seattle next month, is donating our own blood and storing it in case of an emergency or something...but we aren't completely sure yet.

you've confirmed what i had thought OldHippie....last night they kept going on "within the United States" and "the liason committee within the United States"....doesn't surprise me. I'm not sure why its only within the US though.
