Too many changes mean more changes to come

i just joined this site after researching the recent 'new light" my daughter is an unbaptized witness, as well as her husband and my grandchildren.

i was baptized in the 80s but i am inactive for years now because of changes and inconsintancies etc.. .

if the sheep and the goats teaching has been changed to happen after the great tribultaion, or after armageddon then this would mean that everyone would not be seperated or judged until after armageddon has occured.

Just a minor point.....JW use Prov 4:18 that the light gets brighter and that's why the many changes for the last 140 years.

Why not read the surrounding scriptures in Prov 4 and see what Solomon was talking about.

Why would a God continue to make changes in doctrines for the last 140 years, what would be the purpose of fooling, tricking and changing doctrines.

The whole thing does not make sense. The truth is that they really don't know their left from their right.

Hope you can help your family to wake up, not get baptized and become a slave to the GB.

How Do I Explain To My TalkTherapist That JW's Believe They Will Never Die?

i know for us exjw's that have awakened from this religion, it seems incredulous that we ever.

could have believed we were going to live forever and never die.. not just never die, but never die, like i was raised to believe with.

the millions now living will never die, garbage.. i said that to my highly educated professional therapist last week.. her eyes got big, and she said gently as to a child, "loislane, we are all going to die".. yes, i know that now, but that is not what my religion taught and i believed, for 60 years.. any thoughts on how i explain this lunacy to her?.

WE believed a lot garbage for decades and taught it to others but keep in mind the human race for thousands of years have been worshipping these "gods" in the heavens that are never seen and heard from anyone.

The romans and the greeks had hundreds of gods that they looked to in their everyday life

The Catholics believe in hundreds of saints and Hindus in millions of Gods and the Muslim terrorist gets 70 virgins if he blows one an infidel, the Mormons have their own weird belief.

Mankind has been victim of this fraud which is religion and just be happy you got out of the watchtower and not believe the lie anymore.

Nothing ....

Fall back that JW's are imperfect or that false prophets or teachers will rise from among you, we love Jehovah and nothing else matters.

Nothing will shake up the majority of brainwashed JW and that's why many of us got stuck in the organization for decades.

My daughter has been officially dfd, unfortunately...

unfortunately she still does not know ttatt... the good thing is that my wife (her mom) is not shunning her!.

i gave my daughter love & comfort and told her that nobody is ever going to divide us, i might not be happy with all of her choices and decisions but i just want her to be happy.

my family is still asleep and still thinks this is the truthtm and my wife wants her to come back.

Hope your wife will continue to do so and show love or see the wickedness of your daughter being shunned.

I have 2 daughters that left the organization, one is DF and the other walked away many years ago.

My ex wife still a JW had a decent relationship with both of them but just a week ago, she attended a circuit assembly, she did not even drive home, stopped by my daughters and told them she will not have anything to do with them anymore since they were not making the meetings and that they were serving the devil.

So don't know what was said at the assembly but it's disgusting what this religion does to family.

HOA suing us any help?

just thought i would ask in case any of you have had any experience with a home owners association.

i'm being sued for not paying dues and other fines and went to a mediation hearing a while ago.

we explianed that we we never informed of the hoa when we bought the home and never signed any agreement, infact i was very explicit with everyone involved in the buying proccess to make sure there was no hoa since i did not want to buy if there was one.

Did you use a realtor when you bought it ? Hard to believe it was never discosed to you by the seller or realtor or when you got a loan on it.

I've heard of many people losing their home for not paying HOA..can they put a lien on your property

Do you detect an underlying sadness ?

whenever i talk to jw's, and even in some of the jw official videos, i detect a definite vibe of sadness coming off these people.. i am very sensitive to "atmospheres" and to peoples emotional state, you wouldn't think so, because more often than not i do not react to what i detect, i just let people get on with it.. but i do get this feeling that they are sad, probably because very, very, very deep down they realise that it is all false, maybe ?.

And even more sad is the fact that they cannot express sadness or talk about it because they are constantly reminded they are the "happiest people"

in the world and that have joy as no one else.

If you have doubts about doctrines and other issues cannot openly discuss it even with your best friend or your wife since you're

going to be viewed as weak and doutbful and the ultimate sin "apostasy".

Glad to be out and live a life of freedom and not a slave of the watchtower.

New Light not accepted by all..

i came across 3 very long serving regular pioneers today in the street.

they are out preaching full time ever day.

they are at the forefront and spearhead the teaching of jehovah's witnesses on ground level.

Just talked to a 80 year old witness, got baptized in the 50's and as i mentioned to her the many changes going on in the organization... her response was " If you love Jehovah, it doesn't matter, you keep on serving him"

That's the situation with old timers, they will die happy serving the watchtower, the majority are not into doctrines at all, most of them have no knowledge of what's going on and could care less.

WATCHTOWER IN A PANIC!

jws are in need of more kingdom halls in many major u.s. cities.

at this years agm where it is expected that most of the faithful will be able to listen to the meeting (being tied in by video), dont be surprised if the wts 8 gb members take part in a symposium delivering some long winded appeal, petition, plea, proposal, proposition, solicitation or otherwise hit-on the masses for $$$ in order to lighten the burden and overuse that many kingdom halls are experiencing.

an acquaintance from the west coast mentioned to me that in late august thru early september of this year that a number of pow-wows involving close to 5,000 elders from numerous areas (riverside, los angeles, ventura and orange counties) took place to drum up financial support from the 800+ (not sure) congregations in those areas.

And if the publisher will not contribute the congregation will start receiving a bill for a certain period of time for every publisher that attends the hall.

They leave no choice but to pay up.
