The only problem with that Perry is i feel it's like a one way street.
You talk to him, you pray to him, you praise him, you make plans with him and then you yourselves have to figure out whether he has acted in your behalf. After praying to him and things don't turn out the way you wanted, must likely you will excuse him..."it's not his will and his thoughts are higher than mine".
Keep doing what you're doing if it works for you.

hi, my wife became a jw about 25 years ago and at the time while it all sounded crazy to me but i could see not wrong and have no problem with people having a religion , it started to become apparent that her choice of religion was almost cult like with all the controls in place.
we no longer have a social life together as she will only be with clan members not wordly people and i have stopped going round to her friends houses for get togethers becouse i am sick to death of being questioned and mocked about my beliefs,hearing other religion being called so harsh,wordly people being talked about as if scum and all the other haughty talk.
i am not allowed any material in the house that might be apostate,satanic?

I knocked on doors for 32 years and even when i fully believed in the watchtower doctrines i was always afraid that i would be the one breaking up a family by one of them accepting the "truth".
I saw too many times of wives coming in the organization and eventually dividing their family and often ending up in a divorce.
Hope that one day you can reason with your wife and she may come to realize the truth or the lies of the watchtower society.
i had an interesting discussion with a jw family member recently and he brought up his plans for retirement.
according to his age bracket, this will not be for another 20 years or so.
he plans to buy land, build a house, move the parents nearby.
For the 140 years they have been waiting for this system to end and it has not come, old timers dying off and they all realize they better think about retirement and putting some money aside.
my last speeding ticket was in tennessee in 1993, was going 15 miles over the speed limit and got a $60 ticket.
that was my last one.. three weeks ago did not make a complete stop making a right turn here in california and got nailed with a "camera ticket".. damage to my wallet ...$540 and have to take an 8hour class.. i guess california is in need of a lot of cash.. do you have traffic cameras where you live or are they illegal?.

Here in California you can go to court but i think it would be a waste of time since that have a picture of you driving the car and a video of what happened. I checked the video on line and as they said it was not a complete stop.

i had been wondering over the past few years whether there really was a historical jesus at all, until a few months ago when i read bart ehrman's latest book "did jesus exist?
" initially i was persuaded by his argument that the nt contains multiple sources that testify to jesus' existence.
but more recently i have been reading the christ myth position of richard carrier and his responses to ehrman.

The same reason why JW's would be persecuted or not take blood and die.
Same reason why a Muslim blows himself up so he can get 70 virgins.
