  we watch the news, we read newspapers and stuff and we hear about nutters who are up to weird stuff.

  sometimes we read about/hear about cults.

  the society is obviously one.

  I agree with Drew, why would they even doubt when they feel they have the truth.

  Very few stop and meditate on the meaning of the scriptures when they read them, if any questions come up they always go back with the JW explanation, many are truly

  "sheep" they follow the GB since they feel they are being used by God.

  Let's not forget many are truly happy in doing what they are doing. They have a hope for the future and worldwide unity that no one has ( even though it's forced unity).

  It always felt good traveling in other parts of the world and you could walk into KH and you felt the brotherhood and love.

  I don't agree with the JW's anymore but for many of them ignorance is good.

  The majority of them as i personally experienced could care less about 607/1914, Malawi/Mexico,UN and so on.

  Remember one thing, many of us spent decades in it.

  Tell.Tale Signs.

  a tell.tale is an outward indication of something secret, a revealing of what is meant to be secret.

  going back before our fade four years ago, the elders unknowingly gave me a tell.tale sign that they were secretly discussing how they were going to delete me as an elder while still using me to do special assignments and some of the work that they were not up to doing.

  here is how i found this tell.tale sign out.i filled out an application to pioneer to set an example to the other local elders and to serve more fully with my schedule during the summer months.

  we posted on earlier threads the letter we sent to the judicial committee as well as letters we sent to our jw friends.

  we sent those letters to 43 folks/couples on monday.

  we have begun receiving replies.

  Who taught us what we know about Jehovah’s name and the kingdom and exposing unscriptural doctrines? Who taught Charles Russell just about everything he published in the Watchtower? If you do your research, you will find that just about everything that witnesses assume originated with the Watchtower was plagiarized by Russell from the Adventists. I can’t think of anything he originated, including 1914. So what credit should the Watchtower receive for just passing along information they received from others? Anyone can do that. It is no basis for special recognition.

  Never used this reasoning Lenny concerning who taught us the many truths. Russell stole it from others.

  All the other "truths" they came up with, do not have much backing from the bible such as the " other sheep,144k,paradise earth,blood" and much more

  in the past whenever you went on vacation (holiday) did you try and find a kingdom hall to attend and also try and put in some service time?.

  Stop for gas and give someone a tract or preach.

  Study for the meetings as a family while on vacation and make sure you do not miss the meetings whereever you go.

  And why did we do it?

  The GB always played with our conscience and put us on a guilt trip if you did not do all of those things, you were viewed unspiritual if you did not go to a kingdom hall on vacation.

  had a discussion with a friend of mine yesterday -- she's still semi in the borg.

  anyway, she says she's free to remarry as defined by dub rules.

  she's divorced, however, there was no cheating by either party in the marriage.

  was an elder for a while and saw all kinds of manupulation in order to be free scripturally.

  There is a lot of deceiving going on and they learn from their mother in brooklyn, it is called Theocratic warfare.

  Did not Jehovah condemn the Jews in Malachi for dumping their wives for a younger model?

  Emergency-local need on apostasy

  tonight i happened to be at the service meeting and the p.o.

  gave a talk on apostasy.

  there was not even a slot for local needs but they got rid of one part to give the talk on how the congr.

  Tonight i happened to be at the service meeting and the P.O. gave a talk on apostasy. There was not even a slot for local needs but they got rid of one part to give the talk on how the congr. needs to be on guards against people on this board.

  It was prophesied in the first century that a great apostasy would arise against the watchtower and the truth, it is like gangrene so if anyone says anything against the teachings of the watchtower and expecially the GB you better run and turn them in.

  15 min. talk he never looked at me, if it was up to the P.O. he would have DF me already.

  Since the wife turned me in for apostasy the elders are a bit nervous having me in the audience knowing i said a lot things against the organization.

  I convinced them i am not an apostate but they kept the letter that my wife wrote on file for future use to nail me.

  You guys are a dangerous group

  without attacking anyone for their beliefs, feel free to state what you believe in right now.. personally, i still believe in a higher power, a creator, call him jehovah if you wish, a god that will put things back right eventually.

  i am a 45 year old man who has lived a single life for so long, for too long.

  i have dated several in the past few years andhave got serious a time or two.

  but it never fails when someone comes along that really trips your trigger, you fall so hard for someone who really fits your wants needs and desires in everyway a man could want and then it happens.
