Let me give you some advise, your posting are way too long, learn from the watchtower and their articles, short and sweet and to the point.

I can never read your postings they bore me, if you want to convince someone, you got the wrong place and people, you might be more successful if you knock on more doors and fool those that have no knowledge of the bible,

By the way, are you counting time for field service as you try to debate those on this board since you feel you are witnessing here, probably you are as most witnesses do.

You ought to be df's since you are spending so much time with "apostate"

What age for baptism?

when i was a mormon i was baptised at age 8.. as witnesses some get baptised pretty close to this age.. when they face all those years ahead with so much of life to learn and understand how can it be right to come down so hard on young people who, when going thru puberty and beyond have to come to grips with all the feelings and mixed up thinking of youth and then fall short of the ideal and ,say ,fall in love with someone and have sex and then face a judicial commitee.. everyone is different and it's naturally easier for some young ones than for others due to alot of factors and keep on the straight and narrow.. but here is my opinion on things, simply put , jesus as a perfect man was not called upon to dedicate himself for baptism and full dedication to god till he was 30!.

is it not reasonable to expect the same from imperfect people led by sinful inclinations to make a mature decision when older at 30 instead of a teen or even a preteen and expect full control and even repentence?

Does a six year old understand when you get baptized you accept the organization as spirit-directed, and you will get df if you disagree with any of the teaching.

Do adults JW's know what spirit -directed organization truly means?

What's up with Chicago? 1978 also they allowed a few 6 years old to be baptized.

I have a thought

with the bethel homes downsizing and letting people go into congregations and moving others to new areas, i had this thought.

doesn't it seem odd that the wts is getting rid of older ones at bethel like seniors and i thought i bet they are doing this so that as these witnesses become older they would be a burden on the bethel.

i was thinking that the orangization doesn't want to be strapped paying for medical bills or witnesses who will need constant help or ones who have diseases like alzheimer's.

It is pretty shabby to say the least that now the Society is getting rid of these older ones who have devoted most of their lives to the organization.

how true , they dump the old ones and still calling 19 years old to bethel.

A good friend of mine' son left for bethel 2 months and calling many other young ones. use them in their youth,not allow them to get an education or a skill and then send them home when they are used and old with no money or skills.

Are some people better off staying in the WTS?

i read this forum alot.

though i don't post very often, i thought i would share the following thoughts.

my mother is 70, and lives alone (my parents separated and divorced about 23 years ago).

I definetely think that some are better off in the organ. expecially older ones that might have a few years left on earth.

If she left your sister would shun her and she will die with a broken heart.

There are some i know i would never persuade to leave the organ.,the older ones that's all they have,many widows would truly have no purpose anymore to live.

At least in the congr. they do have freinds, it gives them a chance to get out of the house and even live longer because they are active in something.

By the way you might share this with your mom and your sister about associating with you, this is taken from the elders book page 102 last par.

A Friend Just Asked Me Why His JW Family Is Stocking Up On Food......

all of his family are witnesses.

they told him they are "storing and stocking up" on powdered milk and non-perishable items.......this is the second time i hear that witnesses are doing this in preperation of "the end".

my wife did and got mad at me for not taking it seriously.

I don't understand the JW's and the direction received from the GB. If Jah is all powerful and they are His people, Is He not going to provide for them? He promised he would so why stack up on food. They should have more faith in the Creator ability to provide for them.

In the 60 or70's I beleive the elders had some freedom to come up with their own talks but eventually the society took that away and made sure that the brothers stuck with the outline and not deviate from it.

The GB are Control freaks or godlike ones that have to have full control of every aspect of the JW's life

I wish i would have read the book " 30 years as a slave of the watchtower" 30years ago maybe my eyes would have been opened at that time or should have listened to my worldly friends that it was a lot crap.

so, why is sex, without marriage a sin?.

why when someone is talking about morality, do they really mean sexual activities, and not lying, cheating, child abuse, wife beating, bad tempers, being a horrible person, murder, generally bad behaviour.. those other things, i would say are more immoral.. but, sex, why is it a sin?

if two people are in love, have no other ties, want to be together, why is that a sin?
