  Dec KM indicates extreme paranoia over booking hotels NOT on the list

  over the years, the society has included half a page in their annual guidelines when planning for and attending the district convention.. in particular, they have been very insistent that only hotels on the recommended lodging list be used.. .

  the language in this month's km is even more insistent than last years.. .

  last week i finally received my new lrb arms m14sa.

  it is a "trw" build, with a new wilson chrome lined barrel, and a smith enterprises uscg muzzle brake.

  Teach your kids if you have any.

  For sure. My kids (all now grown) were taught as I was. They also can all put a round in a fleas ass at two hundred meters, AND I trust them behind me with a loaded rifle.

  Breath, Aim, Relax, Slack, Squeeze ......FIRE.

  BRASS

  And the .308 round (7.62 X 51 Mike Mike) is a very hard hitting round. And effective out to 1000 meters. - Though at that distance it is balistically falling like a rock and ranging is very important. But unlike the .223 (5.56) M16 round, when you are shot with the SAW or M14, you KNOW you have been shot, and you tend to stay down for the count.

  Also, this is the same rifle (in semi-auto) that Randy Shughart used in Somalia...when he was awarded the Medal of Honor. (For defending the downed Blackhawk pilot...and dying in the process after he ran out of ammo.)

  For the members of the "gun culture" among us. Last week I finally received my new LRB ARMS M14SA. It is a "TRW" build, with a new Wilson chrome lined barrel, and a Smith Enterprises USCG muzzle brake. And she is a tack driver. With iron sights she holds MOA, or two inches at 200 meters. And with South African surplus I was hitting man sized steel targets at 650 meters almost every time This is one FINE rifle, and the folks at LRB even zeroed her for me. Look out Bigfoot, here I come.

  isn't it possible that god created the universe to look old?.

  think about it, when god created adam he was a full grown adult - not an infant.

  he created eve as a full grown woman.. is it hard to believe that god could create a universe fully formed?

  "for the first time in my life, i'm reading things, which have not been approved by the prophet's censors, (aka the governing body) and the impact on my mind is devastating.

  sometimes i glance over my shoulder to see who might be watching me, frightened in spite of myself.

  So, while I'm upset that I was mislead and I'm upset that these guys are still misleading, I see that they are hurting themselves as well and that it's all a cause for sadness rather then anger.

  This is a good healthy way of looking at things. But it is hard for me to be this generous. I can tell you one thing....if I ever go to visit one of these fellows graves, what I leave there will not pass for flowers.

  On a clear day you can see forever...... I too am feeling a new-found freedom and am grateful at long last to express myself. No details are necessary as most of us here are on the same wave length. I like the way you express yourself.

  Thanks for the compliment. BTW, on a clear day it does seem like you can see forever. I live within a mile of the Pacific coast, and have seen it fogged in many times. I sometimes look at the fog (a fog so think you can stand on the beach and not see the water sometimes) and think to myself this is what my outlook on life was before I left "the truth." Now I can stand on the bluff's on a bright sunny day, and see "forever" in more ways than one.

  Dang....Now I DO have a sick and twisted sense of humor, and I must admit I WAS thinking this, but congrats on having the balls to actually post it.

  But you know, striping motivated people of their dignity, and then rubbing their noses in it has been proven over and over to be a very dangerous thing to do. Hell, it's basically why world war one AND two began.

  there was a story in our local paper yesterday about a local man who went awol from the us army and went to canada.

  i suppose that could be a discussion in itself, but the reason i'm posting this is the responses from the readers.

  Did you know that the WTS, at least unofficially, actually discouraged Viet Nam era young men from "running away to Canada"? We were supposed to stand our ground, refuse "alternative bloodguilty" non-military service, and get sentenced to 5 years in the federal pen. All for the greater glory of Brooklyn.

  And did you know that half of the Governing Body thought that non-military service would have been OK? But it takes two thirds, so all those fine young men went to jail instead. I always thought this was sick and funny at the same time. I mean if they were inspired or even "spirit directed", you would think they would all be on the same page right?
