that statement has been made to me recently - i think it is a sound-bite from the new dvd about jerusalem's fall.. hmm.. i need to reflect on a reply .

several thoughts come to mind but it has to be constructive and form a reasoned argument rather than a smart answer.. what blessings?

I was thinking the same thing Ms. Jones! Also What JeffT said, "What blessings?" You don't need to answer anything...always stay on the OFFENSE...make THEM answer questions like JeffT's, and they will need to THINK (hard for a JW for sure) that's where you can start a crack in the mind-control. That story is absolutely true, I know because a friend of mine had a next-door neighbor who had a nephew who read it several years ago in The National Enquirer. Or maybe it was his niece... :)

i haven't been on here much lately, but i read barb anderson's report on the court case in california the other day.

nice to see the borg finally getting what they deserve.. anyway, the daily mail has done a story about it and at the end you can give your comments.

i think there are a number of 'faithful witlesses' on there who are giving the "thumbs down" to any negative comments about the borg, including mine.

ok, am i correct in saying that the fds never stated armegedon was coming in 75'?

however, they led everyone to believe it was coming in 75'?.

if the latter question is true, can you provide links to talks or articles that point to this?

Look at it this way....

If the end of the world came in 1975 the way JW's said it would pre-1975, would they NOW have enough proof to say, 'WE TOLD YOU SO!!"? If a JW answers yes to that question, then they are (at the very least) honestly admitting the WTB&TS are false prophets. If they answer no to that question, they are either too stupid to live, or not being honest with themselves and not worth wasting another minute talking to. Gym Bob

i've only met the man properly three times, and all of them through my uncle who was the district convention overseer.

however, there was another time when i ran into him by chance that was amusing.

we were all staying at the marriott.

I was a Bethelite back in the F.F. days (or should I say daze). One of my strangest memories of him was a meal prayer, over lunch. He thanked Jehovah for EVERY FREAKIN' THING ON THE TABLE. The peas, potatos, salt & pepper, stew, etc. He was an odd duck. P.S. I won't even begin to go there with the nights in the sauna... :)
