having actually managed to survive through the entire 3 grueling days of the dc after attending the friday session today (hit sat and sun last weekend) i was initially going to make a criticism of some of the parts & points at the dc.
however, something that i witnessed today changed my mind.

So why shouldn't JWs pursue secular education? After all, if "the truth" is the truth, then nothing that is learned in secular education will dispute it, right? Why can't JWs study evolution? After all, if Jehovah created everything, surely no evidence will be found that will dispute that, right? Why can't JWs study subjects like Philosophy, Psychology, Physics, Biology, etc.? After all, if everything that you teach is "the truth," you'll have nothing to worry about, right?
Big sticking point today, with the young people and higher education.
It's '68 all over again....
Remember, they can't study those topics because school takes time and THE END IS SOOOOO CLOSE NOW.

Just a couple suggestions that could make the video even better...it would be good to scan that KM which had the announcement of all the "older ones being reassigned to the field." This would answer the first question any unacquainted viewer is likely to have, "What in the world is he talking about?"
Secondly, it would help to have an interview with Jacob in there somehow. It could be a telephone interview. Anything that shows his take on the matter.
But it's a good video that tugs at the old heart strings....

When someone really tries to sell me something, my BS meter goes off very quickly..and when Gore came out with his movie, something didn't seem right....and I'm glad to see that I wasn't alone. I hold "global warming" in the same camp as the "Free Tibet" people...it's just a feel-good bandwagon issue and I won't be pressured into supporting it.
