i've stated this before on this message board but i was kind of curious about this and wanted to get some feedback from the group.
in particular, the ladies who are either current or former jw's.. about a year or so ago, my wife went with me to a church i was attending at the time.
we then later that morning attended a kh meeting.
The JW male is taught to suppress a certain assertiveness that is born to all men in their coming of age. That assertiveness is naturally attractive to women.
FACT! I handed over my balls to the org, now I am taking them back and I have more prospects for dating/relationships than ever before. Growing up in the org, especially if you bought into it as deeply as I did, makes you afraid of girls and afraid of where relationships could lead. But that's all changing now and it feels great.

When I was an MS, there was a family which would often call in to request the tie-in line (in the days before the automated password system). I don't think they were sick as much as stressed out and embarassed; the mother could barely control her screaming infant, and probably just wanted to experience the meeting without the heads turning around to glare at her.
But now you must never "phone it in"! COME TO YOUR MEETINGS, LEAVE YOUR COMFORTABLE HOUSE....

My dad doesn't even like first person shooter video games, so I can extrapolate his feelings to what he would think of a real gun in his house. When I move out, however, I do plan on buying a sweet revolver. I went shooting at the end of September and it was a lot of fun! I'm going again to shoot next week.
There were a couple of ok people there. But nothing else. There wasn't much to miss once I became persona non grata in their eyes.

No, Crips and Bloods aren't just a west coast thing. They're all over. And although these are traditionally black gangs, membership is not racially restricted.
And if the WT wants young, dumb brothers to keep up the membership, they'd better get used to these sorts of conflicts. Young, dumb urban males tend to run in street gangs, or are at least wannabe gangbangers.

I don't remember the letter being read about never missing a meeting, but I do recall at one DC or CA how they trotted out this old Jamaican dub he instructed everyone "not to miss a meeting unless you were on de deathbed!"
So the effect is the same
they are announced as no longer being one of jehovahs witnesses.
why then do people still shun them if they are not disfellowshipped.
witnesses talk to non jws all the time, so we should be allowed to talk to members who are announced as no longer one of jehovahs witnesses.
