The useless WTS Website

i can't believe and low-tech and next-to-useless the watchtower website is.

considering how in the past the jw's used radio and other technology to help spread the jw doctrine "good news", it seems they should have developed a great website to help get new members.. but their site is dreary and hollow.

old information like the "generation of 1914 will see the end of the system" is still posted there.

I don't think they would know how to proselytize with teh interweb. They don't show any desire to learn. After all, door to door is working SO WELL!

I used to be a DDR nerd; I get nostalgic for the game every so often. At the height of my obsession with this game, I had two RedOctane Pads and a couple of DDR games on my PS2. I wasn't too good though; never really got into Heavies, but I was a solid Trick level player.

Recently I met the former owner of Cobalt Flux pads at my hall. I was so jazzed to meet this cat. Pretty cool guy from Salt Lake.

The last time I played, I went to Dave & Busters', and played while inebriated. Couldn't finish a song.

That is NOT a good Idea....teachers can go ballistic too, or students can manage to somehow take the gun away from the teacher if he/or she is so inclined and use it againist the teacher or students. They would have a whole arsenal of weapons...no need to buy one when you can have weapons at you fingertips.

Exactly. Besides, Mr. Pochowski is right: schools here aren't like ones in other countries.

After Armegeddon Whats the plan?

from the beginning of the jw experiance, i wondered what the plan was going to be after armegeddon.

we are to expect so much destruction, billions of people destroyed (how many birds does it take to eat 6 billion people in a timely manner?

) with the massive deaths and stuff to clean up........peoples bones for one, rebuiling and resurrecting the millions and millions that have died.....teaching them, and working to clean up the planet.

Seven Trumpets of Revelation

i read on here that the society teaches that the seven trumpets of revelation are representative of seven conventions held in america in the 1920. is this actually true?

is it old light?

i asked some witnesses but they all gave me a look like i was weird and said it couldn't be right, and i can't check the watchtower library as i can't get it on my computer (apparently the society doesn't think mac users are worthy of the 'good news') i mean... it would be a bit...odd, wouldn't it?

what strikes me is how the jws believe that this tract is going to "shake people up", and stir up a firestorm of controversy that will shake the entire earth to it's core.

The P.O., when he introduced the tract, said everyone "should fasten their seatbelts," obviously trying to build enthusiasm. If people didn't think we were crazy, they will now...though I doubt it will move a soul to care.

Before I was made an MS, they wanted to make sure I didn't have anything they would be embarrassed about later. They asked me if I have anything that would bring reproach upon me when I would be an MS. Then they pointedly asked if I still masturbated. Of course I said no....there's no reason why I would ever fess up to that.

They are sick weirdos for wanting to know about that. But even my answer didn't satisfy them. "Are...you sure? You sure you don't want to talk about it? There was a brother who had this problem and he got help for it." I wanted to know what idiot would talk to them about jacking off. I repeated my earlier answer. Good old Theocratic Warfare.

Aside from the Victorian influence on their thinking, they know that jacking off is something you can do to pleasure yourself on your own time. This offends them because you should be studying, and they don't want you to feel any sexual pleasure.
