TO CLARIFY A COUPLE OF THINGS ABOUT MY PROJECT.....
by Mary infirst of all, i want to thank everyone for all the words of encouragment and compliments i've received regarding the project i put together.
not only will it (hopefully) help some family members to see that something's not right regarding many of the wt's doctrines, but it was therapeutic for me to do as well.
like many other ex-witnesses, i was emotionally devastated and extremely angry when i discovered that this religion was not "the truth" as was drilled into our brains from day one.

Prop 8 - Petition against the tax-exempt status of the Mormons
by Devilsnok ini see no reason why any organised religion should be exempt from paying their due taxes.
here's a chance to rob the mormon church of their tax exempt status.... please visit http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/review-the-501c3-status-of-the-church-of-latter-day-saints-the-mormons and sign it and pass it on to your friends.. .
the lds church contributed a significant amount of money and effort to endorse prop 8 in california via its network of church, media, and community outlets enshrining discrimination under the law for thousands of californians and their families.. .

Then following your argument the mormon church over stepped that line, it spoke out and now needs a good whooping in order to make an example for the rest of the churches.

"In general, no organization, including a church, may qualify for IRC section 501(c)(3) status if a substantial part of its activities is attempting to influence legislation (commonly known as lobbying)."

Breaking News - Ramblings of the Governing Body
by Edward Elder inif you're still unsure about the hotline to heaven (aka fds), then have a laugh at this truly pathetic story being circulated by the dubs - comments from stephen lett of the groaning body - see below.. to summarise lett's mind-control ramblings:.
angels are directing jws in the ministry - of course!if you don't answer the door - god will kill youif you don't listen to us - god will kill youbrainwashing of minor children is a real winnercalling on empty houses may seem like a waste of time - but to dubs it's the work of angelsfor the bethel drone monitoring this post - wake up and smell the coffee, before you're made to leave your cosy brooklyn office and hack the streets calling on empty houses.. you can be sure lett will be right behind you!.

I finally said it...I don't like jw's
by kzjw ini'm vacation and watched as my wife headed out for her piosneering this past monday...i was pissed, because i'm here, but she'd rather be out there, hawking the wares of the borg as a non-paid employee.
i stewed in the house for 3-4 hours, angry that i took vows with this woman, but she essentially is forsaking those vows for her "friends", when she knows i don't care for it.
well the tolerance finally wore off!

I think you may have made a mistake in banning Jw's from your house. She'll now go and tell the others that they are banned and the " persecution " alarm will be rung. There's one thing you can't do to an active JW and thats "persecute" them, they batton down the hatches and dig in deep and wont budge an inch on anything.

What is the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you at a meeting?
by IHaveADream inmine was the time i had my twin grandsons with me and i was sitting in the overflow room.
they both needed to go potty at the same time.
so i tried to pick both of them up.

I was in my late teens and i had been out drinking the night before and wasn't feeling at all well at the meeting the next morning, infact i felt and looked half dead. An Elderly sister in her 70's remarked before the meeting how bad I looked and rushed me off to the mens toilets to put my wrists under cold water (It worked) Then me and this elderly sister had to leave the mens toilet together, straight into the lobby as all these people where coming in for the meeting. A passing elder shot me a look and I got pulled for being in a toilet with a female at the end of the meeting
