  The Holy Spirit... and DOES God Speak to Us?

  may you all have peace.

  last night when i went to bed, my heart was quite heavy: there were things on it, in it, thereon... whatever... that i could not reconcile: i know what i have heard from my lord - how do i get others who love him to grasp that such a thing is possible, to understand that they do not have to take my word for it, but can ask him, for i am nothing more than a good-for-nothing-slave... and have "sold" myself into the "service" of the one who "bought" me... so that it is his will that i must obey... whether earthling man hears... or refrain?

  this is not new "fight" with me, let me tell you: i know exactly how jeremiah felt, for i cannot count the times my heart has felt the same thing.

  because... the leaves of such tree... were for curing.

  curing what?

  had adam reached the tree and ate... he would have been cured of his sins and once again become sinless.

  Now you are being mean. I did not give myself the glory in any way. I am fully aware WHO gave me my conscience and WHO gives me the discernment and WHO gives me the desire to obey and WHO gives me the strength to heed. That is the voice of the Good Shepherd within me helping me to obey and love instead of following my flesh. You must have read my post with a hard heart toward me. I only aske dif you could relate to me and if you just choose to use the language that you do such as "My Lord spoke" as a way of giving Him the glory instead of saying it the way that I did. I was not being disrespectful to you or my Lord. Sorry, if it sounded that way. I do not credit myself when I do right because I am only doing what I am supposed to do anyway. Having lived a large part of my life either not "listening" or Not having...I'm not sure which yet at this point in my life...I am grateful to have the voice of my Shepherd in my heart and mind. I refer to conscience not as a psychiatric term but as it is used biblically. A good conscience comes from a pure heart and both belong to God.   Hi Shelby,

  Thanks for the story. I'm glad that you are ok and the woman too. It sounds to me like your conscience which I don't doubt is being guided. When you say" My Lord said,"....is that your way of expressing what went through your mind or is this an audible voice? Do you know what I mean? I have similar "voices" in my daily life but they are not audible, just my internal struggle with right/wrong, good/bad etc.. Is that what you mean? I also "hear" a difference in the "voices" of my internal struggles which is easily determined by following love in the spirit knowing that following the flesh is death. Does this make sense to you? love, dj

  when i was one of jehovah's witnesses i was absolutely sure i had the truth.

  so sure i would have been willing to sacrifice anything for my beliefs.

  i worked hard at study, meetings, service - even aux.

  Update on my Dad's stroke

  dad is now at a rehabilitation center, getting physical therapy.

  he is walking fine now, and his voice is normal too.

  he is still having some swallowing difficulties, but i would say he is 95% better.

  Thanks for the update Mulan, I have been wondering and hoping. My dad accuses us of whispering just like Blondie's grandpop.lol. I don't understand why hearing aids are such a nuisance to those who need them. When my dad does wear his, he turns it off and on depending on his mood. I have a sneaking suspicion that he turns it off at the KH. Sorry about the rough days you've had and glad to see you back. love, dj

  To me anyway, the untruthful teaching that we should not pray to Jesus is fully answered in that one sentence." If you ask anything in my name, I will do it" Don't they ever ask themselves how Jesus "would do it" (answer prayer) if one was forbiddent to pray to Him..(in his name). The issue of one me or two me's is irrelevant to me.

  Thanks for all of that once again! Jesus is the I AM, there it is, in His own words...the NWT in Exodus has "he causes to become" or something like that. They have purposefully denied Him once again. How sad and sickening at the same time.

  i've been hearing some about the stock wt owns in a company that produces products for the military.

  it seems to be a matter of public record, but i am curious why the american (world) press doesn't jump on what would seem to be such an embarrassing scandal.

  is it such a well-kept secret, or does the general public simply not care what the guys in brooklyn are up to?

  After all I have learned about the watchtower in the last couple of years I've come to a conclusion TA DA !!!....here it is....being no part of the world to the GB really means just not having any holidays and hating anyone who isn't a jw. They have a very strange god.

  a friend lost

  on thursday, the 21st, i lost a dear friend.. he was an older man, some 25 years older than me.

  he was not a dub.

  we became friends over 10 years ago because of a mutual hobby, that of ham radio, or amateur radio if you prefer.
