A local Br. was giving a talk and a Br. had fallen asleep in the front row. In time the Brother's snoring grew so loud that the speaker asked the brother next to him to wake hime up to which the Brother replied, "You put him to sleep, you wake him up." - The laughter woke him!

Seven Trumpets of Revelation
by Zico ini read on here that the society teaches that the seven trumpets of revelation are representative of seven conventions held in america in the 1920. is this actually true?
is it old light?
i asked some witnesses but they all gave me a look like i was weird and said it couldn't be right, and i can't check the watchtower library as i can't get it on my computer (apparently the society doesn't think mac users are worthy of the 'good news') i mean... it would be a bit...odd, wouldn't it?

A brother gave an experience about the brothers in "Thighland".
A brother said we had a "spriritual enema".
We had a sister Pane, and the WT conductor called on "sister Pane in the rear".
In a service meeting part about Bible reading, a sister raised her hand and said she did her Bible reading in bed late at night bacause it was so boring it put her to sleep.

What would you do? everyones input please!
by restrangled ini have a great neighbor who has always looked out for us and sent over very expensive pet food at no cost because she is in the business.. she has been a great neighbor all around for many years.
her daughter and my son are very good friends.. just this week she asked my son to take care of her pets.
he went surfing today and asked me to cover.. when i went over i was so alarmed, and came back so depressed i do not know what to do.. it is an 800 square foot house with 2 dogs, must be 8 fish tanks full of turtles, a cat,and a parrot sitting in a dusty cage in the dark.

United Nations Library - The Forbiden Fruit? (kind of long)
by Lo-ru-hamah ini am in the process of writing a letter to my mothers sister (aunt) about the un/watchtower fiasco.
my aunt will not speak to my mother or father because they are d'fed (for the un/watchtower fiasco).
however, i guess she thinks that i am a weak link and she sent me a letter, basically, stating the same thing that all jw's say in defence of the watchtower.

Why don't JW's change their failed methods of witnessing...
by zeroday ingoing out in field service monday thru friday 9 till noon, knocking on empty doors while most people are away at work.
knowing no one will be at home.
why is there not a massive effort for evening witnessing when you know most people will be home and able to be reached.

by pippy inhi, i just joined this site and thought i would say hi.
my brief history is being raised as a witness, disfellowshiped for being a normal 17 year old, spending 10 years feeling guilty and thinking im going to die and so will my husband and son.
mother and father in it and always run out crying because they think they failed as parents cause none of their kids stayed in it.

You might want to read the new Oct 15 Watchtower. It contains 2 study articles plus a followup article on weddings. A true example of overstepping the bounds of what is allowed in the scriptures, in my opinion.
I could not believe that with all the important things that could be discussed they would dedicate so much space to "weddings". I guess they don't have anything better to do.
