That was good reasoning you used. Thank you for sharing.

From my "disfellowshipped" diary
by AlmostAtheist innonamegiven's thread on the walk of shame (walking thru the hall while df'd) reminded me of my own experience while disfellowshipped and still a believer.
i kept a diary from that time, serving as a safe place to vent off the anger and frustration of being df'd.. here is a little chunk of one entry.
to set it up, "greg" was the chairman of the committee that df'd me.

"Jehovah has blessed me"
by restrangled ini talked to my mom yesterday.
she just had to vent about some "brother" in her car group this week.
he had been in the hospital and racked up a $25,000.00 bill but had no insurance to pay for it.

Amazing is right. We don't know the whole story. However, the "Jehovah has blessed me" part boils my blood. I have heard it all my life and it has always irked me because it implys that those whose problems don't get solved are not blessed. What makes those who get a blessing more worthy that others
And on the other hand when something bad happens, they blame Satan. Nothing bad is ever their fault. Nothing good is never the product of intelligence or hard work. And "time and unforseen occurance" gets swept under the rug.

time to introduce myself
by Sam87 inok, ive been posting here for quite a few days and i realised that i havnt actually introduced myself properly.
at the moment i am slowly gathering as much information about what the org has done wrong and i will be putting it into an easy to read (easy enough for jws to read i should say.
later on i would like to go to an assembly and put my new 'tracts' on the seats and under peoples window washers, anywhere where they can be seen, because i view this as my new form of witnessing, and let me tell you its going to be alot more fullfilling than anything ive ever done in the jehovahs witnesses!.

Did any of you ever have "overzealous"parents?
by Ex-Jo Ho inthis may have been discussed before but did any of you have crazy strict parents...i mean did they have even more strict ideas than what the religion already had put restrictions on?.
my stepfather had been a crazy drug/alcohol addict before dragging my family into the "truth"...then it seemed he became obsessed with the religion.
honestly...i don't know which was worse!

Wow!Your parents sound even creepier than mine. I thought it wasn't possible. I'll PM you sometime and compare notes.

Hello/Goodbye (I Don't Know Why I Say Hello/I Say Goodbye) - What Gives?
by BizzyBee inseveral posters (whom i will not name because it doesn't matter) have basically said good-bye lately.
we all responded as usual, with genuine sentiments - how much we will miss them, etc.
but, quite frankly there is something almost disparaging or critical implied toward the rest of us who choose to remain on the board by those who "move on.

Bizzybee: I feel the same way.
Wanderer: don't sweat the small stuff! Just post whatever pops in your head or whatever you feel you can contribute. It doesn't need to be a thesis everytime.
