African JWs Can Keep "Messianic" Attire Because It's There Culture!
by minimus inmy mom went to the sunday meeting and a missionary that was formerly in the congregation was showing (boring) slides about the "work" in africa.
when he showed some pictures of some witnesses, they were dressed in what he called "messianic attire".
he told the audience that it was no big deal that they were being allowed to continue this style of dress by the society since it was merely seen as "cultural".

I'm vegetarian so it would be quicker for me to say what fruit and veg i don't like (spinach!) I love all the summer fruits most such as peaches nectarines cherries etc and also pomegranates. I don't like spinach(sorry warlock!), aubergine or avocado. What's acorn squash by the way never heard of it!

UK & IRELAND MAP
by ballistic ini had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).
(and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).
anyway, all you have to do is post or email me your username and town and i will draw you on the map above which will change gradually to include everyone!.

by under_believer inonce upon a time there was a daddy who really, really liked alcohol.
he drank too much all the time and smelled like wine, cheap wine from a box.
) the daddy's boys also grew up.

Jws were definately killed in the twin towers i remember an awake article on them a few months after it happened. I really don't understand why they will keep trying to say the end is at any moment cos they're always saying only Jehovah knows and no one else so why keep on guessing when it will be?

Glad i cancelled our magazines that article would make my hubby really cross! He has said to jws time and time again that to repeatedly ask and remind about donations is no better than passing round the collection plate, and that if its the troof they don't need to ask for money, Jehovah would take care of them, but none of them can see it. They must be getting hard up to be asking for our jewellery now as well!
