Borat (which i thought i'd hate but it was really funny)

when things "clicked", what was your emotional state and what did you about it?.
I felt a total pratt to have been so taken in, and then i felt very very very angry!Then a mixture of sadness and then more anger, at myself as much as them. Scared too as i knew i couldn't be part of it anymore and knew the consequences of leaving. (so glad i did though!)

Yep definately try to get some support structure in place, you will need it! Realise that it is alot harder emotionally than you could have thought. Try to fade quietly first if at all possible. Do your research and make sure you know all you can about the backgroun of the religion and its falsehoods. Go to the cult help and information website, click on leaving a cult? then click on the emotional pain of leaving a cult, i found it by accident a few months ago when i was at my lowest, and it amazed me to see all the thoughts and feelings i was experiencing listed there, and i realised i was normal to feel the way i was and it helped me cope much better.

AlphaOmega thanks for putting the bbc site up, i found it mentioned on a times one and a scottish one too where jws were mentioned briefly, but don't lnow how to do links. I just googled cold caller and jehovahs witnesses and saw what it brought up. I must go on a computer course!

i say mine is english with an admixture of german (before the nazis ever existed, no need to go on about that) northern french and italian from venice.

I did say though that if it did happen they'd probably see it as another sign of the last days, turning against religion etc even though its for salesmen as well. Anyone else hear it?
