Doesn't bother me anymore, i have come to realise/find out that i am more honest than most of those who are jws. And i know they are so controlled as to believe most of the rubbish they get 'fed' through the publications. Feel more sorry for them now than myself.

Apostates - viewed as liars, the devils henchmen & to be avoided at all cos
by The Scotsman inyes, as far as jehovahs witnesses are concerned, apostates are evil, wicked, faithless liars.. i was wanting to ask - assuming most if not all who come here are in the jw category of apostate, how do you feel about the fact that you are portrayed in such a light by the org?.
i will be the first to admit - i always thought that those who criticized the org were untruthful or exaggerating.
its not until now i have considered what you guys have to say and how you feel that i realize that what you have to say is all truthful (tinged with a bit of anger perhaps).. personally i think its verging on character assassination.

MsMcDucket: Would you miss her if she wasn't here?
by AuldSoul inmsmcducket doesn't believe she'd be missed.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/143341/2578096/post.ashx#2578096.
i believe that's a sign she's gone dotty.
i also believe we can convince her she's wrong.. respectfully,.

What was your first car?
by nicolaou inmine was an old fiat 127, i bought it 1983 and it was at least fifteen years old then!
the seats were vinyl and there were no rear seatbelts so i could send my girlfriend and her sister flying with each bend in the road!
it wouldn't go above 55mph and was rattling like rollercoaster when it finally got there.. the rear window fell out and it finally croaked in puff of blue/black smoke.

My very own first car was a Ford KA (which i loved) which i bought off mum when it was 2yrs old. It's 6 now and i just exchanged it last week for a new 5 door fiesta (so i'd be ok out in the ministry now lol) as i need more room now and kept banging my head climbing in the back to strap the boys in!
My first car together with hubby was his vauxhall nova (hated it - i need power steering!) and then we bought a new fiesta and now he has a ford focus (trying to save up for a galaxy people carrier will be 5 of us soon)

6 Die From Brain-Eating Amoeba in Lakes
by Elsewhere inhttp://www.physorg.com/news110255496.html.
it sounds like science fiction but it's true: a killer amoeba living in lakes enters the body through the nose and attacks the brain where it feeds until you die.
even though encounters with the microscopic bug are extraordinarily rare, it's killed six boys and young men this year.

Poor young kid, just go out for a good time on your birthday, you don't think it's gonna kill you, that's so sad.

Shunned by my SIL the B........
by AK - Jeff inshunning still hurts for me, i admit it.
though i have no common ground with these people any longer, it is just the idea that i am treated as evil for nothing more than exiting the religion.
i was in a chinese rest on wednesday.

So sorry for your pain and frustration. I kind of understand cos my hubby tried to talk to my sis in law recently about talking to me and seeing kids etc and she came out with the usual about how it was my choice to leave, i knew the consequences etc (though she told me last yr she'd still talk to me if i left as she does to her d'ad family).
And on top of that i learn this wk that she has been having affairs for over two years now and i have decided that i just don't want to know such hypocrites anymore, all i did was be honest and leave as i no longer believed it she's been doing this all this time (and previously) yet acted as if i was the one doing wrong!!
Trust me, sad though it is, they are not worth worrying about, we know them for what they really are and they are not worth knowing by their hypocritical actions. You are worth a million more than them and sometimes we have to write off altogether those that are damaging to our health, cos they are not worth all this stress we have to go through. Hugs xx
