i remember once reading someone's post where he/she used an excellent scripture that strongly suggests that jesus is god.
i think the point was that jesus was going to raise "the temple" which is his body, i.e.
jesus will resurrect himself.
No, that can't be right. Jesus was supposed to have been able to raise Lazarus (without being God) why couldn't he raise himself without being God?
Unless because he was dead and dead is dead and the dead can't raise themselves... but then, if he was really dead, he couldn't have also been God.

k, well, i came to all of you for suggestions on my 1500 word euthanasia essay... guess what i got an a- on my paper.
so i'm coming to all of you good folks to see what you all think would be good for a hypothesis essay.
i'm stuck with ideas.
It sound like you would need to make a very specific point about controlling religions - for example, a cause and effect situation -- and then proceed to support that hypothesis in your paper.
So... the hypothesis says that controlling religions (define) use mind control and behavior modification to keep people in line.
This is proven by X Y and Z.
Or something like that.

remember how inside the congregation we were taught that we should our love our brothers so much that we would die for them?.
now why were taught to trust and love our brothers and sisters so much mush that we would do that for them?.
I would like to think that I would give my life to save others. I would not want to be the kind of person who would stand by and do nothing, even for a stranger.
i've been reading a few articles on the subject of jehovah being jesus in the new testament, which makes perfect sense.
as i don't believe the bible is the word of god (or has been severely altered by man), i do believe there may be some small shreds of truth.
could it be that yahweh in the ot is jesus of the nt?

30 to be sure, jesus performed many other signs also before the disciples, which are not written down in this scroll.
31 but these have been written down that you may believe that jesus is the christ the son of god, and that, because of believing, you may have life by means of his name.
It would be a whole lot more simple if I saw some of these miracles for myself, and not have to take the word of someone who wrote something down 2,000 years ago.
If the performing of miracles was the key for the apostles and others to believe in Jesus, why should we today be expected to accept anything less? They got miracles; we get paper and ink. BIG difference!
