Not all migraine headaches involve debilitating pain, but they do usually involve more than just head pain. A few times I got a weird migraine that affected the vision in one eye. The very center of my vision was completely out of focus in a sawtooth pattern. I was alarmed until my husband told me he gets the same thing occasionally. It went away after a few hours.

Convention Weirdness
by BlackWolf inwell i just got back from 3 days in hell, and geez was this convention strange or what?
im sure someone's probably made a topic about this already but i can't believe that there weren't any new releases besides the movies.
has that ever happened before?

I Remember this kind of speculation forty years ago in the run up th 1975, parsing out what was said and not said at the conventions, silly speculation about what it might mean.
They love it when people read between the lines and start speculating, I think they actually want people to do that. Of course they never say anything themselves that they can be held accountable for later. They have been at this game for well over a hundred years, so why shouldn't they be good at it?
I remember my mother telling me "brother Dimwit says Armageddon must be close, and he's and elder so he must know". I thought it was pathetic, I had begun to realize how much hope made people gullible. They weren't happy in their current life, they NEEDED it to be over soon and need made them willing to grasp at any hint.

The fact that it says "inspired by Caleb" tells me that it is not officially licenced.

That's too bad. Never give up advocating for your children, this is too important. Think of it as a war, not a battle.

I have been away for while, but I suspect you will be disfellowshipped if it comes out that you married a disfellowshipped person. It depends on the elders involved and how much or what you choose to tell them.
I see no upside to you going to the elders. You know in your heart you have done nothing wrong, a judicial committee will cause nothing but harm.

At a regional convention today....
by Nobodyspecial init really stands out to me just how phoney the bonds of forced brotherhood are.
the smiles are paper thin when they see each other in hotels.
the laughs forced.

I vividly remember my last circuit assembly, as it was the loneliest I have ever felt. I realized I had nothing in common with anyone, no connection, nothing. People are made to be social, but not like that.

You do a lot of good here Cofty. I already believed in evolution before I found JWN, but I have learned a lot more about it from you and others here. There is as much evidence for evolution as there is for the fact that the earth revolves around the sun. You can continue to insist that the sun revolves around the earth, because that is the way it appears to you, but you would be foolish, and believing in creationism is just as foolish.

Why have there been so many people blind to the corruption of the Watchtower Corporation ?
by Finkelstein inbased from many of the doctrines the wts has come forth with since its existence as publishing house which were obviously incorrect or false and propagated doesn't make you wonder why there were so many who embraced this organization with full devotion and acceptance ?
even back in the late 1800's there was scrutinizing skepticism to what the leaders of the wts theologically taught.
millions of people since then have accepted the teachings of a really couple novice bible theologians, who brought forth many weakly supported doctrines such as and concerning that mankind was living in the end times and all of mankind should be prepared for its imminent destruction.. very view other christian based faiths from catholicism or protestantism have made these kind of outlandish doctrinal assertions and they make up an overwhelming greater amount of practicing theologians, to those who achieved a high a level of academic training in bible theory.

It's a cult. They are masters at manipulating people and conditioning them not to question their authority and not to believe anything negative, especially if it's coming from a former member.
