Two Witnesses stuck in a elevator or car without Chaperon. Would they fornicate? Yes/No
by Witness 007 inim amazed how going witnessing sisters who knew me for decades would sit only in the back seat on the way to the hall...to avoid any sex at the traffic lights!!!
and chaperons 1840's style are needed because two witnesses alone for 10 minutes would go at it like animals even after all the training watchtower articles and talks being jahs clean org.
and all..

A lol of my own funny faced cat, Lizzie. You can build our own LOLs on Cheezeburger, it lets you put captions on your own photos.
We were adopted by her last June from the shelter. She is a hoot. I sure learned to never leave the TP off thethe roller

Fantasy "Forbidden Fruit" Ex-Witness Party
by CaptainSchmideo inif you could get all willing participants on this board together in one area for a party, and told them to bring favorite music, food, movies, and dressed in certain fashion, all of which has been discouraged or outright banned either by the wts or by their flunkies (do, co, elders, busybodies in the hall, etc.
), what would you bring?.

My stolen Smurf!!! Roberta804
Very Funny, yes, there must be Smurfs. My MIL took it upon herself to repeat this nonsense to my then 8 year old daughter. Scared her so bad we had to throw it away. What kind of an idiot makes children afraid that a demon will out of a silly toy. arrrgggg.
So my daughter is in her thirties now. As a joke I ordered her a smurf keyring on Amazon. She got it and was puzzled as to whether she had ordered something while drunk one night. Then it hit her...... ah, must be from mom. Just my way of apologizing for bringing her up in a cult

I am sorry that some here are attacking , that is too bad. Getting reinstated so you don't lose your family is a logical decision. The dubs are in the wrong for making your family shun you. Do what you have to do. If you can stand six months of meetings to get your family back, good on you. This is an evil organization, they lied to everyone, they dont deserve the truth from you.
I am also sad to see some jump to conclusions about your situation. They don't know your history so they do not have any right to judge you. Sheesh, you are getting enough of that from the dubbies.

Your vs You're....Its vs It's....There vs Their..
by Terry inwriting and speaking is all about communication.. if we are casually engaged the level of precision vanishes.
simple ideas=simplified language.. but, as we attempt to convey accuracy, specificity and numerical precision--what then?
without a clear standard is proper communication headed for extinction?.

Another common mistake is using except for accept. At the antique mall where I sell, they have a sign at the counter saying "We except Visa and Mastercard". I don't know if I should say anything or not.

I have a good recipe for fake fried chicken, that easier and healthier that regular fried chicken . I have to watch cholesterol, so since a lot of the saturated fat is in the skin, I get boneless, skinless chicken. The problem is, it tends to get kind of dry. I use organic chicken from Trader Joes, they seem to have more flavor, I like the thighs, as they seem to work better, but breasts would also work. I season them ( I use season salt), dip in flour, then into beaten eggs, then into panko bread crumbs. I put two tablespoons of oil in a pan or large skillet (if you are really watching the fat, just spray them with a little oil instead.) add the chicken and bake them at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes, flipping them over about half way through. My husband is picky and won't eat anything healthy, he said is was the best fried chicken he ever had. I have also used this on pork chops, they were great also.

I don't think I would have left the religion if my life had not been so difficult, and yes I am stronger because of it. On the other hand, the stress of it caused me to develop fibromyalgia, which I will have to deal with the rest of my life.

music - Mack The Knife - because I heard a talk once on how evil it was. Also, Depche Mode "Losing My Religion"
Food - birthday cake, so we could celebrate all the birthdays we missed.
Movies - The Big Lebowski
Dress - Something with cleavage that would have gotten me a good talking to if I was still in.

Music you never noticed was ...
by nibbled ini have friends in very cool jobs.
my world interacts quite often with music stars, and i have interesting conversations.
for instance, i was talking with the members of animal kingdom, and asked the lead singer about the lyrics i picked up while listening them perform for the group a few minutes earlier... i felt stupid because i hadn't realized the name of the song, and only had caught a few lyrics... he wrote of mephistopheles.

Gopher: The song is trying to get people to think about the culture in schools where bullying is cool. Foster The People was in no way endorsing shooting people.
Lisa Rose: Yes, I read that it was not their intention to glorify shootings, but that is not obvious from the lyrics, at least too me. I like the song, it is nice to listen to, I just wondered what effect it might have on kids who might identify too much with the shooter. I j ust think parents should be aware of what their children are listening to. On the other hand I have read many accounts here of crazy JW parents who banned all rock music, or other things that were completely normal, and I think think that is going too far. When I was a JW, we had a talk on music. The brother went on and on about how evil the song "Mack The Knife " was. True, it was about a hired killer, but come on, it was strictly tounge in cheek. My kids were teens at time and were laughing about it later. They had never even heard the song, it was from the sixties, it was not relevent to them. At the time I was trying to them interested in the religion, that talk didnt help any. Of course now I am glad they never got baptized.

I dont listen to music that much. I do like Mumford and sons and the Avett brothers. I guess most people consider themselves Christian, so it seems natural to me that some would about it. I dont attend church, but I consider myself Christian, so it doesn't bother me, actually, I find it interesting. I will have to start paying attention to the lyrics more often. I find other songs more problematical, example Foster The People's pumped up Kicks, its about school shooting. It was written before Sandy Creek, but it seems a bad thing to glorify. It seemed like it was played every 5 minutes for a while. Do parents know hat their kids are listening to?
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullets
