I'm funny, at least I personally think I am. I like the beach (and long walks on it). I'm sensitive, and I listen. I'm vigorous and spry. Theres rarely a dull moment with me. I plan on learning psychology, theres money and brains in that business (or so I've been told) . I've never even been close to the "Water that ruins lives". I'm just under 6 feet tall, and like that new song "crazy" or whatever it is :P . And I can play defense like nobody's business. And free throws are easy. Theres only one problem with me.... I'm 16. Not counting that, I'm not allowed to date, not even allowed to look at women. And I'll surely be killed by demons if I even had a hint about what "sex" is (I don't know at all what that is, or why there are 2 genders). But just because I'm underage doesn't mean I don't get lonely! All I want is a girlfreind...I wouldn't try anything stupid....I know the consequences. But I just want someone to talk to, that can understand me on another level. And is damned good to look at, to boot.

as the good book says'there isnt a greater love than when a man gives his life for his friend'.. robert cook saved an australians life when he shielded her body from the impact in a skydiving plane accident.
the accident happened in missorie and kimberly the australian will be in hospital for around ten weeks.

Our elders have always been nice...
Sure, the new guy is so 'goody' that he scares me...but the rest are nice. Seriously, he's so nice, it put up a flag in my head that shouted "pedophile".
He said that he went through 'similar things' when he was my age. Now, I have no real proof that he's creepy, but I was wanting to tell him off about how our situations are different. And I could beat the crap outa him (I'm all muscle below my protective covering ;) ) if he does something suspicious.
But they seemed nice and I respected them, even if I never talked to them. -

agreed.
seems as though cult victims in general - and witnesses in particular - have been taught to divest oneself of the social tangibles needed to make friends and move on.

I've probably forgotten how to make freinds.
Sure, I had the 7 years in public school, but no doubt that's faded. I went to SAD (an amazing acronym if I ever saw one), and it was tough to meet new people.
I think I did well, even if I had to force myself to shake thier hand and introduce myself (I'll end up never getting to know them, and moving on later, but it's good practice anyway). I did manage to meet a girl. And considering how I was able to insult my freind in front of her, introduce myself, and stand close to her (not like THAT), I consider it a victory.
With no real contact with girls over the years, its tough to try and think of girls as more than just attractive specimens used for reproduction (It's hard to admit I think like that...but remember I'm a male teenager) and more as human beings like I am. I'll admit I did better around her, but then again, there was the other girl (who happened to be far better looking) that had me scared.
She asked me what was happening...it irritated me that I could barely say anything. I managed a slight joke, that's the only part of my personality that made it through.
I'll be cured in a few years. But I don't know how to make freinds unless they are thrust in front of me. -

My mom was talking on the phone about that today, going on about how it's another step towards armageddon.
And that we will have to survive off the charity of each other. And then she commented on how noone in the congregation has any money, so apparently we are screwed.
Of course, knowing human nature as well as I do, there will NEVER be peace. People like to secure themselves with power. Power is survival. Having allys helps you do that, and you all benifit. But those not with you, are of course, always against you.
It's the source of racism. People of one color don't accept them into thier imaginary "tribe". But then they all fail to realize that we are the same species.
I can't wait till we go to war with aliens, then we will be one big happy family ;) . -

by parakeet inin my more paranoiac moments, i wonder if the gb creates its myriad nitpicking rules in order to deliberately create a high turnover of jws.
the advantage to doing this would be to ease the way for "new light" doctrine.
the 1914 generation has passed; the generation after that is passing, and their memories are passing with them.

I'm thinking along the lines of them being blind.
I don't think they actually realise they are wrong. They probably just put aside thier obvious manipulation, and tell themselves that it's for the good of the many. -

like for instance, to the house of a suicidal man or to a person that was praying for someone to help them spiritually.... do you have any opinions about this?

Thats exactly what happened when I had my discussion with mom. The rebuttle and attack to everything she said came to me as if by 'divine influence'. Probably a heightened memory due to adrenaline. Just about everything is boosted by adrenaline...
