Did anyone see or do a random act of kindness today?
by okie46 intoday while unloading my groceries, i witnessed a random act of kindness... someone in a ford explorer was waiting for a car to leave a parking spot so they could pull in there, they had been waiting for several minutes when finally the car in that spot backed out and left.
before the person in the ford explorer could pull into the spot, a lady in a ford taurus pulled on into that parking space.
the person in the ford explorer who had been patiently waiting, just sat there, they didn't honk or flip the person off, then the lady in the ford taurus realized that the other vehicle had been waiting for that spot and backed out to find another spot, letting the guy who had been waiting have his spot.

Wow!! This is the first discussion forum I have ever joined. I read all that wikipedia stuff about "socket puppets" and "trolls", and that is the first time I ever heard about stuff like that. Interesting.

Hiding from the reality
by KW13 in.
as a dub, were the days you doubted it was the truth, maybe even for a split second?.
i remember, i was always thinking about something related to that, wondering 'what if its not the truth'..

I really didn't have many doubts for a long time. I had so many problems following all the guidelines, recommendations, requests and feeling that I was never good enough because it just wore me out trying to be a JW. I think the borg wants you to be worn out from so many activities so that you won't have the mental resources to question them. After I started researching online the actual history of the WTS, I realized the truth about their hypocrisy. I realized that I wasn't a bad person and a failure anymore because I wasn't an exemplary witness. Of course, now I have tremendous doubts about them, and even though I left the borg, I still have days when I am afraid that maybe what they say is still true and that I have made an awful mistake and will be destroyed at the big "A". This is something I am still struggling with, I am struggling to believe in God, in Jesus, in religion itself. I don't know what to believe, I don't know what version of bible is best to read, which one is most accurate?? I always used NWT, never even read another version. Guess I am still trying to find what is true. I want to find something to believe in again, but not sure what that is.

Welcome JC HoHo No Mo!! My Mom put me on a bit of a guilt trip too when I first left. I am sorry you are having to go through this, it is so difficult at first. I have to say that even though I feel relief at no longer having to put up with the constant guilt trip from the self-righteous people, it continues to be painful when it comes to famiy matters and loved ones who won't communicate with me, in my case it is my daughter. That is why this board is so helpful to me, to see that others have had the same experiences and felt the same things.

I thought that was so nice of her... so many times things like that happen in a parking lot and this was the first time I ever saw someone back on out and give it to the other person. Things like that make me determined to be more considerate of others. Kudos to ford taurus lady in Tulsa, Oklahoma Walmart, 41st and Peoria.

Worst Thing Youve Done In A Meeting?
by chuckie77 inwhats the worst thing youve done during a meeting?
years ago, when i was a bit more wicked/naughty/younger than i am now, i thought i would take some drugs just prior to the meeting to see if it would make things any more interesting.
it didnt, but at least i enjoyed the kingdom melodies tapping my foot to the beat and bopping my head!!
