just an odd thought i guess.
i saw a large snake in the back of my house the other day and it went on its merry way.
i just asked myself, what if the snake turned around and wanted to have a philosophical discussion on life, the universe or the origin of creation and then began to ask me questions?
One of the best lines I ever heard was from this board. It went something like this.
When some JW is trying to make some point using the WT's phrasing and says:
"It's logical to assume..."
Answer: "Some think a talking snake is logical."
I love using this.

Just for giggles, maybe it would be fun to contact somebody and say "Hey howareya! I heard you don't have to go from door to door anymore to get your time in and can attend meetings in your own home. Count me in!" and see what they say.

cities across america have been pillaged and destroyed these last few days.
a white policeman has been charged with murder of a black man.
protests have been organized across major us cities and horrible riots have occurred.

both my 84 yr old jw father and my never my jw mother 82 with both together died from the the corona in 24 hours of each other.
i can tell many fighting i have had here in the last 20 years.on this site .
i juy hope they rest in peace.
Condolences Hotpepper. Losing both so close together is rough, and you must be going through a range of emotions and thoughts, for so many reasons.

last wednesday my elder brother called me to let me know mom had died.
she was 97 years old and was in a nursing home for the last 7 years.
her mind had left her many years ago to the point she didn't recognize any of us.
Condolences to you and yours for the loss of your mom. May she rest in peace and may you find comfort and peace through this sad time. Still is hard to lose mom, no matter what.

Los Angeles harbor area.
some towns require everyone going outside to wear one.
one massachusetts city requires anyone from 5 up to wear a mask.
some cities require masks and have shut down parks and sports playing while others in a nearby town have no such restrictions.
It keeps me to me and you to you. I'm good with it. Here a scarf is sufficient; it doesn't have to be a mask. Is it 100% protective? No, but it helps...that's been proven.
There is so much to know still about the virus, and antibodies, and our vulnerability.
