  is the watch tower name going away?

  i'm seeing more use of the "jehovah's witnesses" name where the watch tower name once was such as the sponsors of the summer conventions.

  is this new, or am i just noticing it?

  who knows? Probably a big secret. Bet if you asked a witness, they would either play dumb, or say it has something to do with the governing body and the faithful and discreet slave getting words from God!

  Who REALLY is the Faithful and Discreet Slave?

  this thread was inspired by another thread about "two classes of the annointed".

  1 page 805. as we all know when the term faithful and discreet slave is used by the witnesses it is usually always about the governing body.

  in most prayers we hear at the meeting we hear the brother asking jehovah to direct the fds.. notice who the insight book says the faithful and discreet slave is,.

  Just got back from the Public Talk/WT study......very disappointed

  so i finally went back to the sunday meeting after missing it for over a month.

  i've been to the tms/service meeting a couple of weeks ago by the way, but i've consistently missed the one for sunday.. i dreaded going, but i think i will go to the sunday meetings every couple of weeks for a while.

  between my dad and another factor, i think it will be best to go that route for a while.

  I WANT MY 40YEARS BACK. I remember a sister telling me that when the Watchtower or the society tells the witnesses it's time for all them to go somewhere "safe" till it's all over, I was asked if I would go. I said to the sister "You would go if a "man" told you to go? She trusted it that much. I myself, would not. Glad to be out of it as well.

  Almost ALL these posts I told her. Especially the "control part" once she gets baptized. I also asked her how happy she finds all those women at the hall (I used to go there). That I found very little love and some down right "unfriendly" women. But I told her know I realize they are just so unhappy and cannot leave becasue they will loose all friends and family. she understood that.

  good morning and "happy sunday everyone!!.

  yesterday our family (grandparents, grandkids, aunts, uncles) all went for a two hour drive for a picnic and all day fossil dig.

  (sorry, i cannot tell you where, as it would probably reviel who i am to the trolls on this forum.

  what would happen if one became very very rich, and our jw relatives learned about it?

  Never been rich, never mind Really Rich...give a lot to animals sanctuaires, buy a house in Connecticut, give a lot to family. Grow vegetables, get a massage a week. That should do it. The majority of my $ would be for animals.

  No end yet....things have to get much, much, much worse. Lets first wait for Hamas to mess with Isreal, then of course, because ofthe bees in 4 years there will be MAJOR food shortages. We are just on the outskirts of the "Great Tribulation" I'm looking at (I haven't a clue) like 2050ish! MYSTERY
