I know many women who would make wonderful shepards. Even though women are not allowed to take the lead in the Congregation, they can be and are vauluable individuals within the Congregation.

Would Blondie or Mary ever make it as Elders in your old Congregation?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwe know the wts will never except woman as elders.in the last year as a member of jwd,i have learned more from blondie and mary than any elder in my congregation.all the elders in my congregation look like they go thru the motions.they are more like policy enforcers than teachers.. do you think that by excepting woman, some men would be embarassed to how little they know?
does the wts know some woman would better teachers?
is it more like a men's club?

Ok little toe, I see you don't want to go there. I truely belive you agree with me but will not admit it. At the same time, I do agree with what you said, which is that the:
WTS is distracted by the window dressing instead of focussing on the the true focal point of the NT, which is Christ.
I would love to chat with you but it seems that old habits are hard to break after leaving the JW's. I only can post 5 per day due to some paranoia. either I am being shunned for being a witness or I am being disciplined for speaking my mind like everyone else in here. Anyway, it was nice to chat with ya. I wouldn't be suprised if I was banned from here for making this comment, only time will tell.

Little toe, I appreciate your answer and understand where you are coming from. I was pleasantly suprised that you didn't take offence to my comment. But my friend, you said: "It is for this very reason that I think the, "living forever in perfect health on a paradise earth" doctrine is rank materialism that detracts from the whole message of the bible."
Have you forgotten over the years that this "living forever in perfect health on a paradise earth" is Gods ORIGINAL purpose for mankind? Have you forgotten that not a word from His mouth goes unfulfilled? His purpose for mankind will be realized, He promised it and will see to it. The whole message of the bible is Jesus bringing man back to their original state. The first book of the bible puts man in perfect conditions here on earth, the books inbetween record our fall, and the last book of the bible puts us right back on earth in perfect conditions.

He also told the thief on the cross that he would be in paradise with him. So is Jesus to be in heaven or on earth, or was it a moot point since the point of it appears to have been about personal fellowship (" where are you going to, Lord?" )?
Little toe, as an ex Elder you know the answer to that question. For once in your lif can't you just admit someone else made a valid point and humble yourself by admitting you spoke without really thinking. Remember brother, Jehovahs loves humble people and brings down the haughty.

Throwing a location, like heaven verses earth, into the equation only muddies the waters.
I wonder what Jesus would say to such a response? When he spoke about his disciples ruling with him in the Kingdom, he mentioned alot about the location being in Heaven. Was he "mudd'n the waters?"

Anybody have family in East Tennessee??
by Junction-Guy indoes anyone on here have family in east tennessee that are jw's?
and would you like for me to anonymously try to anti-witness to them?
i could go to their neighborhood and go from house to house warning people of the dangers of the jw religion, and i could "call" on your family member in the process.----------this could work especially well for those who have family or friends who are new studies.

JWsDon't Read Your Bible! (Hymenaeus and Philetus)
by AuldSoul injws are clearly instructed to avoid all apostate literature and thinking.. 2 timothy 2:17, 18 and their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is hymenaeus and philetus; who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.. if jehovah's witnesses adhere strictly to their instructions from the governing body they must avoid reading these verses.
how can such avoidance be necessary for christians if paul wrote down apostate teachings in a letter to timothy?.
respectfully,.

There is a big difference between reading LITERATURE FROM apostates, and reading WARNINGS about apostates. Big with words but dull in understanding!!!!!!!
