Do the Governing Body have a priviliged life style or not?

having heard that ted jaracz is being flown out of state to consult a heart specialist, i started wondering what other luxuries the governing body of the wtbts enjoy!

any one any idea how they really live and if their vow of poverty is fake?.

They do not have the worry about have the next check is coming from. Yes they do live a life of ease flying around the world first class and being entertained.

Have any of you seen the movie "The Village"?

about a month ago a movie was on cable called "the village".

it was a freaky movie, and i was a little uncomfortable watching it, but nothing ever happened that made me turn the channel.

turns out there is quite a twist in the end which explained the freakyness.

climate change/global warming

ok well this is one of those topics that's pretty much common knowledge.. the earth is warming, the ice is melting and sea levels are rising.. a) do you think we'll be able to take care of it before it becomes irreversible?.

b) do you make decisions in your life that reflect a concern for this issue and/or other environmentalist issues?.

i try to make sure we recycle and turn off what isn't being used.

I hope it is just a natural cycle of the earth. If it is, is it not smarter, to reduce our carbon foot print and weigh in on the side of caution?

I watched the discovery station series on global warming and I hope that man wakes up soon. Too much proof, have to do our part now.

What happened 5 or 6 years ago to get so many of us out of JW?

That was when I took information to the P.O. in the congregation and to two other Elders showing them the Guardian article about the NGO thing plus showed them an email from the UN stating it was true, plus from the UN web site proving it was B.S. that they need to join the NGO's to gain access to its library. I was put on reproof for causing divisions. My dad was DF'd becasue he told them he would continue to tell others about it and then let them decided if the Society was correct.

The prisoners will be torchered more now that the prison is in the hands of the Iraqis. I do not think our Government should of went into the war but now that we are there they had better help out and stay demanding human liberties for all. The hate that this people feel towards thier own country men will destroy Iraq's future.

this pdf-"kit" was sent to us from a friend of ours who is an elder in england who is thoroughly disgusted.

the file is being sent throughout many congregations by email to assist the witnesses with "corrections" for their "revelation" book.

My dad said they are going to have a special saturday after service to help the older one cut and paiste. The younger ones are going to do this for the Older one at the hall. He is the happiest man, my mom hates him right now because of all the fun he is having taunting my mom over this. He goes to meetings only for her. He was DF'd two four weeks after the Guardian's article about the Society joining the UN and telling two brothers about it. Three years later he was reinstated. He hates the Society for the lies and covering things up.

WHERE DID POST -FLOOD VEGETATION COME FROM?

its occurs to one that the floof would have destroyed virtually all vegetation,so where does wt say post flood vegetation come from?

Seeds soften from being wet that is who most germinate. So seed will withstand long periods of being wet. But once they get to this point they have to grow and if they can't they die. So yes seed can last through a flood but not one that lasted as long as the Noah's flood. All the seeds, all vegetation would be gone from the earth. Think about tidal forces from the moon this would of left a barren lifeless earth with no vegetation, no trees, no grass, not anything left rooted, the tidal action would of been like a huge scraper leaving nothing rooted in the watery deeps.
