  priorities

  is it just me or is the focus on building projects.

  i read through the study for this weekend and all of the focus was on new building construction.

  i was waiting for them to talk about the ministry, and it was in there, but not as the main priority.. i am amazed after visiting an old congregation of mine back in new england just how few (none) of the publishers had helped out on the new headquarters.

  Is it just me or is the focus on building projects. I read through the study for this weekend and all of the focus was on new building construction. I was waiting for them to talk about the ministry, and it was in there, but not as the main priority.

  I am amazed after visiting an old congregation of mine back in New England just how few (none) of the publishers had helped out on the new headquarters. I am constantly told by my wife that I should get on a plane from California to help out this great work, and yet people who could get in a car and drive half a day do not even help out.

  What do you see as the priorities these days?

  new book printed in Germany, not wallkill-why?

  i just recieved a copy of the new book "imitate their faith" and notice it was printed in the german branch, not at wallkill.. why would they ship books here (the us) from germany instead of printing them in wallkill?.

  the new tracts were printed in canada.. is something going on at the wallkill printery that would would hinder book production there?.

  The Spanish and Phillipino Congregations that share our hall have recieved shipments of bibles in the last 2 weeks, printed in Japan. I could see the Phillipino, but not the Spanish. Makes me wonder about the printing facility also.

  memorial attendance

  i just looked at the september issue of the km and they are proud to admit that the attendance in the united states for the memorial, on march 26, was 2,504,114 for 2013. that is about 2,000 more than last year.

  looks like things are slowing down rapidly.

  i know that there was not a big increase last year from the year before and it was speculated that it was becuase it was on a weekday.

  And somehow they will be able to show a great figure of 1.5% growth for the year and say just how great that is and how it shows Jehovahs blessing. My wife must have placed at least 200 of those invitations and I must have thrown away about 50. It was hard trying to keep up with her.

  Millions of hours were spent and millions of invitations were handed out. I know that of the 100 publishers in our hall that over 12,000 invitations were ordered and they ran out before the memorial. Makes me so proud.

  a friend, non-jw, went to convention today.

  she observed about 1/3 baptized were youth.. ***********************************************.

  Sacramento last year was the same way. the amount dunked equaled about 0.05% of those in attendance. Historically is has almost always been 1.0%.

  How do we know that it was holy spirit that told Peter. It could have been small town gossip that is in every town that informed him of what the field sold for.

  I do not see any scripture as proof that Peter ever realized that Jesus would be resurected as a spirit creature or that the kingdom would be in Heaven.

  the year before, and i do not have the exact number, was about 295 thousand and change.

  i hope the trend continues..

  I have to agree with gonebad, hardly anybody commented. When the part was finished he blamed the congregation for not studying. I have to wonder on this article. This would be more for a study than for a congregation that already is brainwashed in to believing all of this. Maybe, there are some that have doubts about jesus?
