A comment my father in law made yesterday to me...
by roflcopter ini talked with my father in law yesterday... he is very much a simple minded man, deeply fanatical about the religion.. he said to me "you do have to realize that it's the truth, you see the truth never changes like other religions".
i wanted to vomit in my mouth, but i just remained silent, no need to draw undue attention to myself, or about my true feelings.
as far as anyones concerned i'm just inactive.. but i was on the tip of talking about many things that change, and if they change they say the light is getting brighter.

The Day Has Arrived
by concerned x intwo months ago i stepped down as an elder in the cong, it was a tremdous relief although a shock to the cong.
two and a half days ago i sent in a letter of explaination concerning why i wanted to step down and why i will be absent from the kh.
it only took two and a half days for the accusation of apostasy to be made against me.

Why are congregations dissolved?
by mtsgrad inonly once in my life have i heard of a congregation being dissolved (closed down) for reasons of sin.. .
has anyone here heard of congs being closed down?

A cong. near here disolved several years back. The WTBS sold the hall for a profit since land was donated and much of the materials too. All the labor was free. It was all paid for with local contributions.
The supposed reason was not enough people. The witnesses had to go elsewhere. The Tower pocketed a tidy sum and the old timers that invested so much lost out and had to travel a long way if they wanted to go to a hall. Bastards just looked at the demographics and could see that there was little money to be made from these people by keeping the Hall open.
Guess they needed the money for the world wide work. Maybe the money was needed to bolster their "PEDOPHILE PROTECTION PROGRAM".

any one else heard anything???

She is not someone to make this up but I cannot find anything from their news desk. The news desk person said some afilliates vary in their news content.
I think she was listening to satellite radio.

Since I left...
by RollerDave insince i left.... so there i was, a disabled single dad bereft of all he had known or believed for 30 years.. i had moved a good 45 minutes away from the area where the events in my introductory post went down, but was now living in an area where i had resided some ten years earlier and still had a few stale connections with the organization.. i was lonely, depressed, pissed off, and really disgusted with the god i had been shown in my years of unfruitful association.. in my mind, he had made me the way i am, which apparently entailed being unable to meet his 'righteous requirements', and was going to kill me for it.
he had endowed all of us with a natural human nature (apart from our fallen sinful nature,) and now expected us to conquer our every natural impulse or desire, even the healthy ones, to survive the big a.. hold off on marriage or kids, no college, no success, no normalcy... the big a'll get ya if ya don't watch out!.
so i railed against him, defied him to just take me, do anything to show he even existed or had any power at all.. i went around saying 'god is an a$$h*le' and the like, but then i realized something that shook my world..... i was just as much a witness outside the organization as i had been inside!.

It seems that you really meant it when you headed this subject "Final Thought About Atheism". After your first post on this subject you stopped thinking.
paranormal phenomena, or of phenomena which appear to be paranormal.[1] The term is based on the Greek para (beside/beyond), psyche (soul/mind), and logos (account/explanation) and was coined by psychologist Max Dessoir in or before 1889.
Paranormal phenomena by defenition is beyond explanation. Why suggest that something unexplainable is real??? If such phenomena were proven by scientific methodology it would leave the realm of paranormal and become a fact based science.
Paranormal phenomena is still unexplainable and may or may not exist in the real world. I personally am comfotable in saying that I really don't know!!!
Why can't you do the same???
