  LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER

  perhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.

  as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.

  since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

  well, it goes up for a reason, but not because of science. stocks being technically "oversold" is a scientific fact, but this does not mean the market will go straight up. its usually a pretty good indicator that the market will rally, as it obviously was in this case, wouldnt you agree? but no, it doesnt mean it will happen every time. there have been exceptions, and markets have dropped rapidly despite the stocks being technically oversold. so, just to clear up, "oversold" and "overbought" are scientific formulas (this fact isnt up for debate, as ive proved it alread through YOUR links), but whether or not the market cooperates with these levels is NOT a science by any means. personally, im sure glad it worked this time though......and you sounding like a raving lunatic because of these documents quotes (sep 24,25) is just a bonus, lol.

  Matthew Makes Another Error

  the 1 chronicles author lists the descendents of david; some of these, in order, are jehoshaphat, jehoram, ahaziah, joash, amaziah, azariah, jotham, ahaz, hezekiah, manasseh (1 chronicles 3:10-13 niv).

  the matthew author contradicts this genealogy; he leaves out the four consecutive descendents underlined above, and in their place puts uzziah, who he says is jehorams son.

  (matthew 1:8-10 niv).

  Isn't it amazing how Mr. Joe doesn't know that "Azariah" is the same individual as "Uzziah?"

  Uzziah = Amaziah, same guy.

  Bin Laden Innocent?

  there have been several threads recently where individuals have spoken out against the united states for their actions against afghanistan.

  there are some people on this forum who continue to express the belief that bin laden has not had a fair trial up to this point, and these same people have insinuated that perhaps the u.s. doesnt have enough proof against him and his network to take forceful military action.

  of course we are lied to. we are lied to on a daily basis, no one disputes this. you are going to be lied to when you read the ingredients on the back of that can you open tonight for supper. this is nothing new.

  as far as bin laden goes, the u.s. govt. has said all along that he is linked to the attacks, that he is the prime suspect, but also that this group was a tight knit group that worked alone on the actual carrying out of this attack. NO ONE has said bin laden orchestrated this thing single-handedly. that would be preposterous! the fact is that he runs the organization that is linked to at least 3 of the hijackers (and id imagine we will find they are all linked to al qaeda before its all over).

  the point i was making on my first post though, and still stands, is that if there was any doubt before, there is NO doubt now as to al qaedas guilt in the matter. they are not disputing it.

  matthew 24:14. jesus says, this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth, for a witness, and then the end will come.. this work only done by jehovah's witnesses for about 125 years approximately.

  they have 6 million preachers concentrated in mostly 20 countries.. lets say they have preached it in all of north america, which is still debatable since there are still a large segment of people who have no really clear idea of what witnesses believe "the good news" is.. even so, just in china and india there are 2 billion human beings who have probably never been preached to even once.

  add bangladesh, iran, iraq, saudi arabia, etc and you have at least another billion with the population in these hard to reach countries continuously growing.. how can the end come before jesus's prophecy comes true.

  well, whatever reason you want to give for this enormous rally weve had is fine with me, either way it was predictable with stocks being so oversold, wouldnt you agree? (oh thats right, you thought the oversold levels were "imaginary"). did you at least buy some stock yk, in anticipation of all this "panic buying"? i mean, a guy like yourself, with all your infinite knowledge of the financial system shouldve at least been able to play this "panic" rally and make a few bucks in the interim. maybe you couldve payed off your debt to the board with your profits.

  um, actually no. go back and watch tapes of all of bush's statements. we (not just the u.s., but all other countries that are in agreement with us as well) are waging war on ALL terrorist, not just bid laden's group.....and we will no doubt end up infiltrating more than one country, and finding/fighting more than one terrorist group.

  do we stand for freedom of religion or not.

  actually, it is indeed the men who planned and carried out these attacks who do not believe in freedom of religion. this war against terrorism will be to uphold freedom of religion, but i'm quite sure you don't understand any of this.

  You don't care to know why the attack happened or why the Afghani's celebrate. That is fine, but my desire to further my understanding of other people doesn't make me a sick person and doesn't mean I support what they have done.

  i dont think it makes you a sick person to want to understand whats behind it, and i wouldnt say i dont care to know either. when i say i dont want to understand why someone enjoys watching a murder, maybe i do associate understanding with support in that instance, im not sure. but you are correct, this is of little importance in the grand scheme of how this situation is best handled.

  And why does he believe the earth needs to be ridden of americans/christians/jews/etc? Because his interpretation of islam lead him to believe that americans et. al. are evil - ie he doesn't agree with our way of life. We can round and round on this for days.

  very true, we could probably go round and round on this one, and it would serve no purpose. i was merely stating that from what i had read and researched, these attacks and his views on us were more racial than anything else. (that these were the "evil" races/religions). along these lines then, if it were racial, obviously we do not choose our race, but we choose our way of life. again though, probably a pointless argument.

  jdubla, I don't know what you want from us.

  hopefully from my last post you can see im asking you for nothing. in fact, i believe i was carrying on this dispute of war vs. no war with stephen and cross before you joined in, so i really had no idea what your stance on war was to begin with. obviously you advocate it in the same manner that i do. cross and stephen seemingly do not advocate it (war) for any reason, or at least not in this instance with bid laden and his followers.
