she's 15 yrs.

I would try and make a contact in very light and friendly way.
She might make notice of the contact to her parents and then she might not at all.
I think it might be an effort that may produce some thought on why she is not to talk or associate with yourself and your wife.
Whats her moronic father going to do anyways, the most that might come out of it is he might phone you and tell you to back off.
The idea is at least you made a motion to get to know your niece and if her parents block this effort
she might remember this and get her to think WHY ?

I'm starting to tell on my husband
by tiffy0212 inyesterday a brother called the house and asked for my husband.
i told him i'm sorry he is doing his study and i will not call him to the phone.
i told him we do not talk to each other and he would have to call him back around 11:30. he called back around 11:40 and sure sounded different then his first call.

Its a bad scenario for wifes in JWS land, there are to keep in subjection to their husbands at all times.
Your husbands brethren at the hall are going to support him as its dictated to do so, this is how the structuring power
of the organization is done and it puts woman in a very weak and venerable position.
This is not so surprising when you realize they trying to emulate the social morals and values of a cultural society that lived 2000 years ago ( Ancient Israelites ).
Religion advocates power toward men and there lies the attraction, which also precludes its corruption.
Power to you in your efforts to remove yourself from this corruption ,.......take care.

The advantages of self marketing are a paramount importance to the WTS. as they present themselves to the public.
Fortunate for them there are no scripted guidelines on a religion on how or should they present themselves to the public.
The WTS has a surmountable amount of self supporting hearsay to identify themselves as just lowly messengers
of the written word, who go by what is only written. Its really a game of words that supports an illusion that what gets
written and spoken by them is truly and purely a message from god and his holy spirit.
It has worked for them well in the past, devious yes but certainly a good marketing strategy for the company/corporation.

(for a few weeks at least... but my master's is getting close!).

What Lance is trying to do is expose the disingenuous of this religious publishing house.
The WTS. marketing scheme is to created false doctrine or proclamations, extrapolate bible scripture to support these
proclamations to only further on manipulate and exploit people to market their publications.
Its an intensional scam in other words that has created a great amount of power and wealth to
the head honchos. The only kingdom that the WTS. has created or established was simply their own.

the frequency of use of the term 'organization' in the WT declining!
by Aussie Oz ini actually expected the opposite of what i found.. 50 to 59 3881.
00 to 08 432. seems they really hammered the 'orginization' home in the 50s and 60s.
i thought it would be the other way around though.. oz.

Organization is synonymous with Corporation,
Using another terminology such as FDS creates more of a viable presentation to the public.
To hide and conceal the publishing corporation from the readers eyes helps to convey
an illusion that the writings and articles come from spiritual direction.
Remember this religion started as illusion of ignorance by C T Russell,
but then again thats the idealogical task of just about every religion isn't it ?
Especially the ones that are selling products.

Good video , quite clear and to the point.
The fact that god's earthly organization here on earth was also a Publishing Corporation always bothered me to some degree.
The manufacturing and selling of the word seemed to be so disingenuous, and capable of inherent corruption.
Some more honest and concise information to add to your other video work.........well done

I just feel like crying... I'm so fed up of the hypocrisy!
by cattails ini was very disgusted with the wt study for today.. towards the end of the article it refers to matthew 15 (see quoted scripture below).
this is a beautiful passage where jesus says his followers need to be hospitable, care for sick, hungry and imprisoned brothers.. they turn it around and say that for jw's this means they need to support the "faithful and discreet slave" by going in door-to-door witnessing, making monetary contributions to support the worldwide witnessing work, and following the directions and counsel of congregation elders.. and the worst part of it all is that there were several commenters giving almost word for word answers to that effect, they didn't even seem to listen to previous comments, they just repeated mindlessly what the paragraph said... i was ready to burst.
mom knew i was about to have a fit right there and then.

The Watchtower Corporation is very greedy for power and money at the same time totally apathetic
for anyone outside of the flock. More power and money to them is foremost on their minds and they have been
that way since day one. This self centered greediness is one the reasons many have left, unfortunately thats also
the reason why men start religions in the first place and that is for power and money.
