  Why do relationships fail???

  hi, just want to say to everyone i love this board ive been raised as a witness but im out since i was 18 .

  but today i could really use somebodys advice..

  ive been in several relationships but my last one was truly the love of my life.

  Can you give more details? Like how long were you seeing eachother? How well did you get to know him? Do you think he was showing you his true self?

  I feel like I owe the success of my relationship to us both being open and honest and we love to talk to eachother. A great "game" we came up with while camping is "truth or truth". You can ask anything....but, you better want to know the answer, cause you can't get mad at the person for telling the truth. (It's kind of a stupid game now though....we end up asking things like "Tell the truth....did you really like the new slippers I got you?")

  I hope in the end....you get whatever makes you the happiest!

  When I was 11, I was at a beach and digging through the sand and found $20.00! It was a THRILL! I bought all my friends ice cream...after asking if I had to give it to somebody.

  one of my cd holders that hold 92 cds is gone.. all that time, money and work.

  i am about halfway thru my third book.

  OMG....I can't believe I had forgotten this.....I was robbed. It was right after I had gone through a miscarriage and my hubby lost his job, which meant we were moving from Texas to Ohio so he could work for his dad. We closed our bank account and I had most of our money in envelopes with lables....Gas;food;last month rent; ect. Well, I had to go to the store and I was really in a daze, so when I had put the stuff in my car, I accidently left my purse in the cart. I realized a few minutes later and went back....the purse was turned in with out any money. What a really bad day.

  I have never been robbed, but I have a gimpse of the feelings you must have. I lived in an apartment complex with a few little laundry areas through out the place. We were in between 2 of them...but I always used one of them the most. Well, I had started a load of towels and then asked husband to go put them in the dryer and he came back saying they were not there. I was LIVID! Those were all my towels....and SOMEONE else took them and now I have no towels! Well.....he was at the wrong laundry house, and I was so relieved to have my towels. I would be furious in your situation. You have had a few run ins with real jerks. I am sorry!

  The big thing then is to eliminate ALL things with pagan origins......You would end up with a very boring life. You can choose to do whatever you want and whatever you feel is right in your heart, but if you eliminate things for a certain reason (pagan origins) then don't you have to eliminate all things with those origins for the same reason? Keep thinking for yourself...I think you are doing great!

  For me, I was just so sick of learning about the "Bible".....that I didn't want to hear anything else about it. Then I saw that I had not learned the Bible at all and learned all about the WT, so I felt like I did want to know about the Bible. This process happened over 7 years...and I just now am feeling comfortable going to church and not thinking I am a devil worshiper because of it.

  How can I help my kids?

  my problems a complex one.

  my 36 yr old husband after ten years of marriage (abusive), left me for a 19 yr old girl.. i am not religous at all and either was my ex at the time.

  thats fine with me, i'm way over it and have a new man who is wonderful.

  The best advise I can give you is to use this as an oppertunity to teach your kids what JW's believe and how many people suffer (like the girl) from the lack of love in this Organization.

  Like it or not, there is a-lot of research to be done....or questions to ask on this board so you can combat whatever they are being taught. Try to keep up with what they are being told, so you can show them what the Bible really says about those things. JW's mostle take things way out of context. Also, if they are enjoying a church atmosphere, it might be really good to take them to a different church to show them how nice "non-Jw's" are too.

  The reasoning book is sort of like the brain wash training manual, in my opinion. It would be hard to think of answers that are so off by yourself....so they do it for you. And....at least for me, it was a great tool for answering people cause, for the most part, I had no idea why I believed what I did.

  Now Linda is ill!!

  first it was her mum in hospital, then it was me, just for a night, though i've been ordered to rest and given 6 weeks off work, and now linda (fullofdoubtnow) is ill. she has a really bad bout of flu, which started yesterday, and i expect she'll be in bed for a few days.

  i just fed her some soup, which is about all she can manage at the moment, and she's gone back to sleep now.

  she sends her love to everyone on the board,i expect she will be posting again in a few days, but for now, she's confined to bed..
