I got the phone call. WARNING, DEPRESSING!

well,my dad called last night, crying.

he says armageddon's about to start and he doesn't want to lose me.

he said i either need to become a good jw and go to the meetings, or he will have to distance himself from me so that he won't be so attached to me when the big a hits.

ok, so let's say you haven't gone to a meeting in a while.

then along comes the co visit (the first since you've stopped attending).

everyone has pretty much left you alone up until this point, right?

2006 Our planet's health checkup

did anyone else watch this on national geographic last night?

it was a program with a bunch of experts recapping the good and the bad on earth this past year.. the bad news: there are too many humans, we are filthy, it's still getting hotter, we just can't learn to stop killing so many animals wastefully, polar bears are running out of food fast, china can't get enough shark fin soup, china is making more pollution now than ever, china needs a wake-up call about eating so many sharks and how it will destroy the ecosystem.. the good news: it can still be fixed, thousands of acres in different countries became national parks to preserve wildlife and forests, africa has become heavyhanded in their fight against poachers, chinese sports stars are swearing off shark fin soup to try to persuade others to follow, 70% of people (i don't know which people.

i'm guessing all of them) want to be more proactive about going green, and big comanies realise now that they will make more money by appealing to the public as being eco-friendly.

well, i got this in an email (from someone who thinks the bible is a loving and beautiful book) and i believe it's a crock.

wow, i am amazed.

about 3 months ago, i finally became nauseated about going to the meetings and i went from attending each one, to attending zero.

boredom got the best of me, and i took a glance at the "do you remember?

" on pg 30 of aug 15th watchtower 2006.. the question: "under the law, why did certain natural sexual functions make a person "unclean"?".

the answer: "the laws concerning uncleanness ascribed to seminal emissions, menstruation, and childbirth fostered good hygiene and a healthy lifestyle, stressed the sanctity of blood, and showed the need for atonement of sins.".
