What does one do at a concert?
by Dune inmaybe i was just an uber-witness loser (i took the religion very seriously when i was in it).. a friend is trying to get me to go triple dating with some of her friends and this chick i'm diggin.
the setting is this dashboard confessional's concert.. but i've never been to a concert, so i was wondering what the hell are you supposed to do?

i am not telling you to do this, but i usually just tailgate with friends and/or girlfriend and drink (since i don't smoke anymore). If you do just don't drink to much. there is nothing worse then seeing a band for the first time twice. designate a driver to DWIs suck (pearl jam was still the best concert) and you don't want anyone to get hurt.

Defy Logic
by KW13 ini think other than real hard evidence, seeing an ex-jw actually getting on with their life must really scare a jw.
shouldn't we be upset, down and practically begging for a chance to get back into the proverbial ark?.
also when you do bring up hard evidence, there are times when you can tell by the expression of any dub change into either shock or anger before they re-arrange it and do their best to tear down said evidence.. i love to defy logic, i'm determined now to make a success of my life so i can (hopefully) get mum to see what really makes a good family and what really makes a person happy.

I wish you the best as well. Everyone needs motivation in life, if that fuels you then go with it. One thing you should keep in mind is that you should still be doing it for you, not out of spite or revenge.
I love when i talk to a ex-friend and they always seem to ask this, " how are you doing", but not in the cordial way. In the way that they are are almost looking down on me. As if i was going to respong with, "you know, i am lost, i don't know where to turn, my life is in shambles." I love to respond "i am doing great, i am doing what i want to do, i have been successful professionally, i am dating a gorgeous girl, i couldn't ask for anything else." which i feel i have and do. there usually is a look of surprise and that alone, although few and far between these days, gives me great pleasure, both confidence wise and gratification.
most i can see though, are still looking for something and not quite happy. i guess they are still waiting for something. wait that sounds familiar

why can the big bang now be excepted by dubs
by looseend ingrowing up i was always told, (like most of you) that evolution was crap.
my dads friend was visiting (who is an elder) and was talking to my dad (who is still a dub) about how the universe could have fit in the palm of his hand at one point in time.
this elder was talking about the big bang theory and how god put it in place.

another i love is the admitted age of the world and universe are millions and billions of years old, but the time line of man is still somehow under ten thousand years

POLL: Do You Believe In The Bible or God At All???
by minimus inat this point in your life, do you believe in god or any parts of the bible as being god's word???.

i don't believe in the traditional god. like others have said, you can't completly rule out the concept of god seeing as how we have no idea where the universe came from before the big bang. but rationally i can't except the bible's view of god
so no i don't believe in the bible or god

I am an atheist ... but then again who knows. I know one thing I would rather believe in nothing. I would rather believe that we just don't understand everything completely yet. Instead of believing that somehow 6 million people have the only phone line to god, which by the way is in war with another mythological creator that we can't rule as physical, (logically) Satan.
Although, now that I think about it war does seem like a man made thing. (Holy shit could it be that man has been fighting since the beginning of time ... odd concept maybe we should write about it.)Sorry, I can't say that there is not something bigger to the picture, but if there is it is not what MOST think. maybe one day humans will get out of this adolescent state of mind and grow up to the real picture. Until then I think I am going to let science take its turn.
remember you can't see with your eyes closed...
i guess after all of that i could have just said i was atheist
