  The philosophy class

  a college student was in a philosophy class which had a discussion about god's existence.

  "has anyone in this class seen god?

  "has anyone is this class heard our professor's brain?

  It's not the same thing though is it? It is conceivable that the professor's brain could be seen as it is not a spirit, it is not invisible and if the professor's head were opened his brain would be visible to the naked eye. God though is invisible' he has never been seen and will never be seen and he is only visible with eyes of faith.

  1. you think the girl in the ankle length dress, neck high sweater, and long sleeve shirt is showing to much skin.. 2. you think it is smart to leave school early to spend your days not working for a living, but driving around handing out magazines.. 3. you think most disney movies are questionable for your kids to watch.. 4. you think smurfs are demons.. 5. you call kids "youths" all the time.. 6. you spent your families vacation at a district convention.. 7. you spent you first date, and last date with your spouse before marrying with a chaperon.

  and you were both in your 30's and virgins.. 8. listening to barry manillow is considered rocking it.. 9. you once washed your childs mouth out with soap for saying "dang" or "darn".

  10. your idea of family fun is playing bible trivia and reading the song book.. 11. if someone in your church once counseled you for wearing perfume.. 12. you consider a death in the family as a preaching opportunity.. 13. you think 7 billion people are wrong and 6 million are right.. 14. you base a good job on whether or not it works with your church schedule.. 15. if you are at this site and reading all these post and saying ... these are all lies.

  i know we talked about it when it was playing in the theaters, but i'm too lazy to look up that thread and i think it was in the main forum anyway.

  i just got the dvd and watched half of it.

  if you haven't seen it it's definitely worth renting.

  Trousers

  since we have people from all over the world in here what was the opinion on sisters wearing trousers to the meetings and in field service, in the cong i used to go to it was frowned upon very heavily, although we could find no scriptual basis for it, was anyone allowed to wear them?

  Absolutely no pants. If you wore them to work you had to go home and change clothes and of you were running late, before sitting down you would change in the ladies room.

  working in the publishing business has its perks, and one of those is getting to see new releases of books that sometimes never land in the bookstores.

  today, i happened to be reading through some product literature that i had put off for some time and discovered a book that was published a few months ago about the usage of drugs in the bible.

  i made a three way call, i had a family member on the other line.

  i had told this person about the wtbs/un thing to which they stated, "bullshit.

  i first called headquarters, they put me through to patterson.

  You know, LDH, that is exactly the reaction that I'm getting from JW's I've spoken to. I thought it was just me. First they don't believe it and when I show them proof they don't care. These are people who are aware of the many books the JW's have printed regarding Babylon The Great and the Wild Beast. I thought they would be outraged, but they just don't care. Incredible!
