Regretably I dont not have my bible as I sit in this internet cafe! But there is a scripture in the 'Christian scriptures' which states " We are not, as some are Pedlers of Gods word.". This is quite interesting, as we know the Jws have made a tidy profit form this venture and the power of dispensing Gods word, must be quite nice?? We are advised by our "Mother"/ "Gods wife" (surely blasphemous?) that we cannot read the Bible alone, for fear of apostasy. Yet the Bible itself, states the opposite (Mark chapter 9 I think) So, its pretty compelling. Gods wife is telling lies about him. Nice.

What kind of corruption and power mad idiocy, can make one proudly trumpet the claim that they are ' Gods Wife ?'

But then one has to ask, the Bible states that one should make disciples of all the nations, preach about Gods kingdom, so on and so forth. How many religions do that?

Maybe, are Jehovahs witnesses to be revealed as the Anti Christ. Lets face it, they've brought more shame on the name of Jehovah than can be imagined. Yet the last time I attended the hall, an Elder was on the platform asking for an extra 50 pounds(93 dollars) a week to refurbish the hall in eight years time to ' truly bring glory to the name of Jehovah.'

Yep, baffles one! I go for, "Satan keeps transforming himself into an angel of light." Corinthians I think. NOT gods publishing house,.

Jehovahs Witnesses must be dancing in the streets now. I can see it - Jehovah has seen it fit to deliver his servants from criticism and the faithful and discreet slave have been vindicated.

I am not a biblical scolar, and it is fair, 96 %+ of people using this forum aren't. So it is difficult for us to comment with full conviction ? We know the Jehovahs Witness cult like line (all opposing views are of those misled by Satan - maybe??) But let us ignore the scriptural points that are beyond non biblical scolars like ourselves who cannot have access to the originals and could not translate more than a handful of words.

I took the NWT and five other bibles, set them all out and compared several scriptures (Not one !) from the Greek Scriptures. What I found was extremely disturbing - to say the message of the NWT is a little different is something of an understatement, important scriptures about being a Christian and serving God, were so poorly rendered in the JW version - they were difficult to understand what they convey.

So, this man who is commenting on the NWT clearly has a hidden agenda. Jehovahs Witness perhaps ???? Or, has the WTS slipped him a few ???

DFing because of doubts

i was looking in the insight book under dfing (it refers you to expelling instead) and found the following list of reasons for dfing:.

some of the offenses that could merit disfellowshipping from the christian congregation are fornication, adultery, homosexuality, greed, extortion, thievery, lying, drunkenness, reviling, spiritism, murder, idolatry, apostasy, and the causing of divisions in the congregation.. it sounds like doubt in god and/or the wt would all be grounds, but where do they fit under the list?

would they label this as idolatry or apostasy, maybe?

What the Monkeys is apostasy ? A Jehovahs Witness relative has accused me of Apostasy - criticising the blood issue !!! Despite the fact that I showed my JW relative scriptures relating to child sacrifice in Jeremiah and explained that the bible states that we abstain from CONSUMING blood (which inhibit the digestion process) so that " it may not be injurious to you" as the bible states. Letting a child die (sacrifice to Molech) is SICK. And he went on quoting the Watchtower - that 60% of blood transfusion recipiants have to be kept on drugs to keep them alive BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS EFFECTS !!!! What bullsh*t. If that was the case, 58-76 % of the Western world would be on medication constantly to keep them alive - their maths clearly don't add up. I'm an apostate for disagreeing (even quoting scriptures) with " our mother" "gods wife" (surely blashpemous) when the Bible says no one should be appointed to teach us (mark something) !!!!!

The WTS is expert at mind control. Like the song "hotel California" - with the lyrics 'you may never leave' (Foreigner if I remember right)

Still, they do alright out of it - breaking up families, ruining people financially, dominating peoples lives and forcing them into selling magazines and serving a corporation for free, sounds like the corporate dream.............

ETs - the Objection that Cannot be Overcome

Well, its a very interesting theory one that I have pondered at very much over the years. Maybe, the Bible was written not by God but by ETs and so on, but the JWs denounce all disagreements to their " TRUTH " as ignorance or wickedness, despite the fact that others may simply not just believe it, as the Budda say " We are what arises within our minds, with our thoughts we make our world.".

If there is no super top secret conspiricy, why is Area 51 ( size of Nevada desert) of the strictest secret - highest security nofly area ? What's in there that is so secret you will be fired upon if you do not turn back ?

When asked about Alien visitors ex UK prime minister Maggie Thatcher (boo hiss) responce in private was (alledgedly) " You can't tell the people .". How interesting. What's really going on ?

But, the world is very different to what we think. The Bible said that the world was round thousands of years ago (JOB) which the Jehovahs Witnesses shout from the highest hill. Yet the Egyptians, knew the EXACT circumfurence of the globe (we know from measuring the pyramids and their relative positions) which is a far far greater acheivement. How could they possibly know ? They would have to have travelled the length and breadth of the earth, or at least, BEEN IN CONTACT with someone who had. We know from ancient maps, that while man was alive - the South Atlantic was where Africa is now. In other words, man had been travelling the world extensively BEFORE the Egyptians had been here! Truth is stranger than fiction.............

And we ask, what really is the truth ??????? It isn't clear cut.

Interesting question, if Armageddon has not arrived it's going to be very interesting. Brothers/Sisters will in bulk start to doubt, although due to the structure of the Organization, in secret. The Society will reclarify things at the last minute as always with new light and say that it is Gods way of testing us and that Satan wants us to fall away. It does seem disappointing at least to me, that all those who do not sell WTS literature are to be destroyed in the day of Gods anger. Must be good to have friends in high places.

It must be sad, to think that Witnesses are four times more likely than the rest of us to suffer paranoid schizophrenia - a result of the huge stress placed upon them, feeling that even a thought out of place may be almost condemning and that they could be destroyed any minute if they dont stick to the 'Org, and that thier family members are all in terrible danger if they do not show unwavering devotion - causing major tensions within the Unit .

The finance situation will be interesting to watch, maybe they will have to charge and pay tax to avoid any thuimping losses. The scandal of the two witness rule will haunt the org for years, I wonder know how tough they must have it knocking doors and having people go nuts about them protection their brothers rather than thinking out for the kiddies. Walk into any Social Services dept here in the UK and there are posters saying "Child protection is everyones business" So one again, Satans world show greater morals than Jehovahs.

It's going to be interesting to watch the society sink. Quite how the Governing Body ( who are contrary to the Bibles statement that we dont need anyone to teach us ) can then go and contradict all the worldly experts and say paedophilia can be changed is beyond me.

I think the Org will be a shadow of its former self- exposed by Satans Media and neglected by the populous with only the few remaining, who will beleive only what they wish.

Dinosaurs?

i was very curious about dinosaurs as a child.

what was jehovah's purpose for them?

my mother used to say that they were used to prepare the earth for living, you know, like mulch and stuff.

Jehovahs Witnesses don't really have an opinion, they have to wait for the Governing body ( "our mother" and Gods wife - surely blashpemous ) to tell us what to think , and advise us not to try and work something out on our own, but to wait on them to dispense it at the proper time, something CONTRARY to Bible teachings.

Anyway, they do say that the Dinosaurs were created to simply tread down and consume the thousands of years of overgrowth of foliage. Their stance is, really escapist and they often say they must have died out in the flood and that the T Rex for example was a scavenger ( wouldn't the existence of predatorial dinosaurs contradict their version of the Bible and maybe the bible itself ? Hello Mr Raptor, binocular vision and as intelligent as a Chimpanzee )

Well, looking at scripture, we know that dinosaurs must have been created with the animals on the same day. Also, does not the King James (and the Apocryfer - which mentions Daniel killing such a beast to prove to the babylonians it was not a God) regularly mention Dragons, which suspiciously is rendered as Hyena in our newer translations. We have legends from all over the world of these Dragon beasts, some of the descriptions WILL make your hair stand on end, check out the figures of Acacumbro (or something - pics are available on Bible.ca)

Dinosuars ARE mentioned in the bible (fiery flying snake ISAIAH ) JOB 40 Behemoth ( 'Beast Beast' an intensive plural - ie : HUGE beast. Elephant would be beast) It is NOT a hippo as it " lies under the thorny lotus trees " or an elephant " It stiffens its tail [ yachpots - Hebrew ] like a cedar " (maybe I think - takes delight in ) Its strength is in its belly and its bones are like tubes of copper - obviously it is something VAST.

Check out the following papers , I order them from my local Library (UK) and they are fascinating. This beast was not encased in ice ( a perfect preserver) for millions of years, and according to Jack Horner MOST fossils are not completely fossilized, but that most museums prefer to keep them intact. If it is heme, not blood inside this beast, it could not have survived 65 million years ( lets not get into a Physics ageing debate here !!!) Even the remaining fleshly structures could be manipulated and would revert back to their original shape when pulled and distorted.

Now, I am under the impression in a church on BReedon on the Hill, Leicestershire England their is an ancient stone art depiction of a Bipedal Trex type beast hunting a back of four legged brutes.

If you can get a copy of Prehistoric Survivivors by Carl (something, ahem) It makes for a fascinating read, even a Scientific American article from 1852 I think which describes a Beast shot down in South America by the Army, which resembled a devil dog from Greek mythology. Species have been dying out for thousands (millions?) of years, Dinosaurs went GRADUALLY. They Did survive the meteourite impact. But alas, not for long.

Jehovah's Witnesses & "worldly" association (sad story)

today a jw friend of mine related this story to me.

she was at the park with a sister whose husband is an elder.

the elder's wife had their four year old son, an only child with her.

I think it shows just how dangerous JWs are. I remember at our old KH, a child of two was forced to stare at the speaker for the whole meeting ( a child of two hardly has an attention span to do this- and certainly can't understand - maybe that's for the best ) and every time he so much as turned his head, they would place their hands on his head and turn it around to face the speaker. i believe it is possible Child abuse to raise a child a JW.

It reminds me of John 7:49 the Pharisees speaking " Those people who do not know the law are an accursed people".

In fact, the words spoken by Jesus to the Pharisees seem to fit JWs perfectly. Still the truth though.

Jehovahs Witnesses act more and more like the Pharisees every day.

You really are a person after my own heart! When a small child in our family died suddenly (NON Blood transfusion! Non witnesses part of family) A JW member of our family said to me the day before the funeral I will never forget " I think they bring this on themselves with the sort of company they keep."

I'll leave you if you will please to pause and think about that for a moment - that says it all. When did you last see a JW soup kitchen? When did you last see JWs ever do anything other than preach, judge you on your response to it (sheep and goats) or distribute magazines ? Jehovahs Witnesses have really got no concept of True Christianity - 2 Corinthians 9:9 / 9 :7 ( Lavishing upon the needy results in eternal life ) Proverbs 19:7 + 22:9 ( Giving to the poor is lending to God ) They have even twisted Matthew 25 " When did we feed clothe,feed, or visit you [ sheep and goats] " to helping the anointed ( partaking in field ministry ) if that is what Jesus wanted the scriptures would have said " You did not announce my imment arrival " But it doesn't. Ask yourself this, can the mysteries of the universe be answered in simply knocking doors and selling magazines ? " We give them away" yeah well, Supreme court decision wasn't it ?

Jehovahs Witnesses have missed the true meaning of the Bible (conveniently) and risk ruining their salvation by not doing good to others . They want to watch THEY do not become the Goats at Judgement. I urge us all now to observe the words of Aesop - " No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." - The Lion and the Mouse. If you can help an old lady cross the street, by all means do so. If you can raise money for good causes (voluntarily of course) please do it. Our kindness will better the tradition of mankind. It is selfless giving that seperates us from the animals and the WTS.

As a humanitarian, the WTS is the enemy of my blood.

Is it possible to have a intellegent conversation with a JW?

not resorting to name calling, yelling, belittling ones religion, being able to express your ideas, etc.

also, are there any active jw forums that non/ex jws go, and preach the gospel to the jws?

Theoretically, no. Being versed in the same answers all the time, I believe it goes around in circles. Several of my family are JWs (usually cold as stone - judging you on your response to " the truth"), all of them show the same line of thought, more or less. A lenghty bible discussion with my JW aunt, I aid that the scripture in Isaiah where God says " No God has been formed before me or since " is surely the most interesting scripture in the Bible if you believe it to be divinely inspired - and she came back excitedly with " There's only one God ! " ( completely missing the point. Examine carefully 'Formed' - if the Bible IS inspired that is fascinating in theological terms ) Others also show a complete alliance with the same points such as the bible should be interpreted in conjuction with other scriptures, quoting the societies very stance - Something the "our mother" wts does NOT even do!!!! JWs all use the same "core" language and reasoning - handed down to them by Gods self appointed wife. I met a JW a couple of months ago and said that the WT says that if a woman does not scream during rape she is guilty of fornication, "No it doesn't" he replied I offered to send him proof and " I don't want it" he replied during bouts of laughing at me during the discussion ( Isn't it interesting how the most interesting volumes of Awake,Watchtower are missing from congregation libraries?) There are however, good fine Witnesses who haven't been taken over by WTS overkill. Moslty, I think looking down on us for not being one of them.

I have a challenge to our JW lurkers - Where in the bible does it say that all Non JWs will be destroyed at Armageddon ??? (Kiss me goodbye if it does)

Saying that, I have seen worse - I met a fellow giving out leaflets on Hell and when I stood to reason with him, he just stood smirking, completely ignoring my words and then saying ' Bless you'

They make mistakes just like 1st century christians did.

when i'm discussing problems i have with the wts with my family they often say well they make mistakes just like the early christians did, they are not perfect.. i try to argue that if you think that way you can go to any christian church and say the same.

but usually they say that compared to other religions the wts makes less mistakes so you should go there.. i know that such reasoning doesn't make sense to me but what is a good response to this?.

They've done a bit more than make mistakes - I think, it would be wonderful to beleive, that this sick world that is going to hell in a handcart was going to end and all loyal loving people would be blessed by God and live forever. A lovely fairy tale.

Complete nonsense, I have to break it to you. Jesus said to the Pharisees, [ paraphrase ] by your words you will be saved and by your words you will be condemned. (did I spell that right? ) They Jehovahs Witnesses by their own words have stated that many situations would make one a false prophet and apostate - yet themselves have committed often repeatedly those gross acts. As Jesus said to the Pharisees " If you were blind, you would have no Sin. But you say " We See" Your sin remains." [somewhere !! look it up ]

Please read Jeremiah 7:31 /32 :35 2 Kings 23:10 - So Dr Jonathon Kaplan - International Humanitarian Surgeon stated in ar recent interview that the worst thing about his Job was " The distressing thing is that children die so easily.They accept things unquestionably in a way that adults don't. The y don't understand that you're supposed to fight death. They just quietly slip away and accept their fate.". So they are modern day worshippers of Molech. Child sacrifice to Jehovah. YHWH outright condemned Child Sacrifice by the Israelites to him - Jeremiah 32:35

The WTS pondies even stated that " Woman kind must share the blame for Rape " and that " a woman should remember that her rapist is an emotional person with feelings." - in an Awake magazine from 1984. So while they repeatedly drum into us that there is no truth but from them, appointed Gods servants over all his possessions ( faithful and discreet slave, a scripture selected to appoint themselves) which is completely CONTRARY to scripture and always twisting and quoting scripture out of context . An example, one of the latest WatchTowers with an illustration of a woman putting money into the coffers at the temple " Jehovah loves a cheerful giver "!!!! Read the Scripture in context, it CLEARLY states that the LORD not JEHOVAH ( artificial nickname) loves someone who cheerfully gives to his fellow human being!!!!

They tell the rules - and berate all their critics and those who disagree as apostates. They are elected WITHOUT scriptural authority. Who annointed them as kings over us ? They did.

Get several different bibles, and read them all - note the changes. Note the Truth.

" And the truth shall set you free " - Jesus. Amen to that.
