This bethelite really pissed me off at my convention. I was taking notes on my PDA like I always do and he says to me with this cheesy grin "If we were at bethel they would say "No electronic notetaking", I said "We're not at bethel" and continued taking notes.
Bethelites, can't live with them, can't be aware of the society's "banned list of entertainment" without em.

sending my mom some info
by moanzy insome of you read my post about talking with my mom about the "truth".
i let her have it in a two hour phone call which probably wasn't the best way to reason.
i guess i'm just sick of it all and i harbor so much resentment for this cult as well as my upbringing.

PREACHING TO THE ANIMALS NOW....
by Mary inok, someone sent me this and i just about pissed myself laughing.
apparently, there's nothing abnormal about preaching to animals if you need to get those hours in.
i'm still struggling whether or not this actually happened, or if it's just a wt legend:.

RADICAL ELDERS WHO BROKE THE RULES - we salute you
by dannygwalsh inthought id inject a bit of light hearted humor , any stories of elders who were unorthodox in a witness way , .
there was one elder in the hall i used to attend called ronnie [edit] , who i still like and admire as a person to this day , he was always very outspoken when he didnt agree with the society on there policy and doctrines and was pra, ctically opposed to bethel service , i remember him giving a talk on applying for bethel service in the km many years ago , and at the end of the talk he said joking with a wry smile , i dont know why any of the brothers would want to do that , sounds like slave labour to me, also whe he was conducting the revelation book study , when it talked about the seven plagues of god being fulfilled in a wt convention in ohio in 1919 , he turned round and said , i dont know where the society get all this from , ... .
he also had a very distinctive voice spoken thru pursed lips in a rasp like voice saying thats just stupid , whenever he didnt agree with the society and other elders , a great man in spite of his beliefs , he was one of the elders on my jc who srongly opposed my disfellowshipping , but he was overuled- .

Wow, what a cool guy.
The seven plagues/conventions thing IS hillarious, he just had the marbles to say it on the stage.
Thanks for sharing that. -

Active JWs, hows KN37 going?
by StillGroggy inhey everybody, i had an interesting time pushing a tract that i don't believe in this weekend.
i had to develop my own method of placing it without having to talk about it, since i fear if i was confronted by someone asking "do you people think you're the only true religion", i might break down and tell the person at the door "no, i don't".
the witness at the door with me would scream in terror, and i would be insta-dfed.

SKally, I'm stuck here TEMPORARILY for family, but I agree with you about how dangerous WTBTS is, but If I outright rebel right now, I'll be beheaded (DFed) with no hope of getting my wife out. For that, a little temporary hipocracy is worth it for me, also, although I'm out in "service", you can trust I won't be bringing in any new converts - Groggy
