i always tried to my best as a jw, to observe what the watchtower and bible told us "not to do".
then i became inactive and lowered my guard, and didn't care as much.
i think that my first jw sin, was playing lotto, then talking to disfellowshipped ones in my congregation, then posting on apostate forums, and then giving blood.
Thou shalt not stroke thy member in any fashion whatsoever
That's another rule I didn't know I was breaking, till I read about it in my Youth Book!!!
someone mentioned to me the other day about going door to door back when i was a jw.
"weren't you scared to do something like that, knock on a stranger's door?
actually it's been so long that i had almost forgotten.
Setting the alarm clock for 8 A.M. Saturday morning every Friday night.
I gotta agree with you on that one Honesty! I'm so glad those days are over!!!
well right now on statewide tv is video of my son hitting a home run in the playoffs against his old teammates.
(he doesn't play for his local hs team, but goes to a private school 1/2 hour away.
) but in the end we came up just short 8-7.....he's had a great run in baseball.
Dads, play catch with your son every time they ask. Not every other time, every time.
I'm definately taking your advice UnConfused. And thanks for sharing those wonderful memories with us! My son is only 3, but I've had his new glove and ball ready and packed away in his closet since the week after he was born! I'm hoping next year I can start tossing it to him! I always loved baseball as a kid, but mom was a devout JW and playing any kind of organized ball was out of the question for me.

My 1st one had to be giving money the United Way! At the time I didn't even know I was breaking any rules, but then I heard an elder say that it would be wrong to give money to a "worldy" charity!!!

you find yourself with a couple of hours to yourself - what do you to relax and make yourself feel good without imbibing substances?
what does your partner like to do?.
free facials are available from nvr!!!
Thanks for the advertising Crumpie!
You'll get your kickback, to be sure.
Hey NVR? Do you give discounts to your special "drinking" buddies (hint, hint) ???

Well, this is an easy one for me. If I can't have sex or drink then the only other way I know to relax is to hop on my motorcycle. I'll take a nice long ride. Riding near a lake or through a park is the best. Especially in the early daylight hours or a moonlit evening.
would love a massage - I have never had one in my life (a couple of half assed attempts from guys trying to get me in bed - but that doesn't count) I would LOVE a proper one - I think I am carrying 28 years of muscle tension in my back!
Never Crumpet??!! What a shame. That's an awesome way to relax too!! I would enjoy helping you with that problem. hmmm, now if I could just figure out a way to ride my cycle across the Atlantic Pond...??

What I cannot understand to this day is how can anyone not think it is a bad idea for a group of cute 18-14 year old girls walk up to strangers homes?
Just another example of the WTS having little regard for its membership. Especially if they are women.
