Laughed til I nearly spent some money
by BizzyBee inso tonight me and mr bee are watching jeopardy, as we are wont to do, being old farts who try to keep those few remaining brain cells firing by attempting to coax info bytes from the dark recesses of the old brain pan.
all this is, of course, being foreplay leading to very athletic, sweaty and passionate attempts to climb down the stairs, brush our teeth and fall into bed at 8:30.. the final jeopardy question was something like: "what notable person's brain, who died in 1955, was preserved and his ashes scattered over the delaware river?
mr. bee shouts, "einstein!

I have seen Mouthy's posts about her being DFed because she didn't believe the 1914 story.
Not sure there's enough to help you but, there was discussion on this at http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/164374/1.ashx

The Loyalty Question
by choosing life inhow many here have been asked the loyalty question by an elder.
i am referring to, "do you believe that jehovah is using the faithful and discreet slave class to accomplish his work?
" or something along this line?.

They were asking this type of question as far back as the early 1980s. I had been inactive for a while and my uncle showed up one day with a man who I now believe must have been the CO. The CO did ask me if I believed the organization was the Truth. At the time I had not even really thought that much about it (I just knew I didn't like the threats of DF, etc.) Somehow I managed to not be too specific so they left.
Just last year I had a visit from a PO. He was out in service handing out WTs. We got into a discussion about pedofiles in the organization. After a few minutes he asked me if I believed the WTS was the Truth. I just laughed at him and said, "That's what elders ask when they are trying to DF you." He dropped it and soon left.

a couple years ago we ran into each other on this board... now come to find out he just got sentenced to 6 years in prison for trying to have his wife murdered!
i just found it so ironic, and very disconcerting actually.

Interesting news article. They kind of blasted the wife/victim as being a terrible person.
Do you know if she was a JW?

I'm glad you're out having some fun. I went with my daughter one day to a mountain here in Phoenix. I hiked while she rode with two fellas she worked with. They passed me at one point along the trail and she stopped and walked with me a few minutes up a hill. She then got back on the bike and caught up with the guys. As they were getting back to the cars in the parking lot one of the guys looked down at her bike and asked if she had been in that gear the whole time. She said Yes.
This was her first trip and did not realize she was supposed to be changing gears going up hill. No wonder she was having such a hard time keeping up with the guys!!!
Change those gears.

http://www.bible.ca/Jw-changes.htm#JehovahOnPleiades
Jehovah lives in Pleiades star cluster galaxy…Star Trek anyone?
1927 "The face of the deep, of course, would be toward the Pleiades, which are claimed to be the habitation of Jehovah." (Creation; 1927; 2,175,000 ed.; p. 94)
1928 "The constellation of the seven stars forming the Pleiades appears to be the crowning center around which the known systems of the planets revolve even as our sun's planets obey the sun and travel in their respective orbits. It has been suggested, and with much weight, that one of the stars of that group is the dwelling-place of Jehovah and the place of the highest heavens;..." (Reconciliation; 1928; p. 14)
1928 "The constellation of the Pleiades is a small one compared with others which scientific instruments disclose to the wondering eyes of man. But the greatness in size of other stars or planets is small when compared with the Pleiades in importance, because the Pleiades is the place of the eternal throne of God." (Reconciliation; 1928; p. 14)

On that last link it shows New Zealand and South Africa leading in top spots for searches on JWs. That's good news.
Too bad Mexico and other parts of Africa shows a low interest (perhaps due to little access to computers.)

Yeah, that fella that tried to pick me up at the grocery store this afternoon should have tried Roy's song instead of just asking if he could 'pleasure' me!!
What happened to dinner or a cup of coffee? Guess I've been out of touch for too long. [Yes, I declined his offer]
