it's been about a year since the wt condemned all forms of higher education.. in my hall, two elder's have allowed their sons to go to college.. others are continuing their studies, despite what brooklyn says.. .

how have the youth in your hall responded?.

I'm going to college, a guy in his late 20s went to college, and works as an accountant, the 15/16 year olds say they're going to college, etc. Up yours, GB.

Does your congregation organize college grad. parties?

the congregation i am in generally organizes high school graduation parties for young jw's, but they frown on anyone going to college, hence no college grad parties.. are there any of you out there whose congregation organized a college graduation party for someone?.

I'm not surprised. If they took graduation parties away, dubs would probably be more psychotic.

not my congregation, but i heard of a couple. I don't know if it was for a 4-year degree, though.

What is the NEW BUZZ in the Org?

there is a new wt arrangement, the 1935 change, the 30 minute public talk among other things.

some have even said they would stop talking doom and gloom, can someone please confirm this?.

what is the perception of these things among those active in the org?

In all the time I've been a dub, it's never been 55 minutes. And yeah, it's getting cut to 30 minutes. Also, about the Kool-Aid edition of the WT, at the hall I go to, they said that if someone asks for it, it is ok to give them one.
