Back fourteen/ fifteen years ago now, this was a doctrine in place when I was still in the borg. The field ministry was our "separating" work. We as JWs were separating the sheep from the goats if I remember correctly. Has this doctrine changed? Do they still believe this? Also, have there been any other major doctrinal changes in the past fifteen years?

What name would like to see for the "2007 District Convention"?

Sorry Brooke, I'm with Jeff, I'm for the Colts.....the Bears schedule has been pretty weak. Their first real test was against the Giants, and I have to admit, they played pretty well. Yet they have a tough schedule coming up and I'm afraid Rex will be too inconsistent the second half of the season. So GO COLTS!

Is the Watchtower Part of the Antichrist?(12/1/06)
by metatron inthe most recent watchtower offers the usual nausea inducing, mind-numbing and jaw dropping sort of brazen hypocrisy they are becoming.
famous for by accusing other religions of being the antichrist.. page 5 of the dec 1 06 watchtower says the antichrist includes those that "falsely claim to represent christ or that improperly.
ascribe to themselves the role of messiah by presumptously promising to achieve that which only christ can do- bring about.

The WTS is definitely an antichrist, but not the Antichrist. I think, as far as the bible is concerned, they are definitely a "wolf in sheep's clothing".
15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.(Matt. 7:15)
18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come.(1 Jn 2:18)
22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father.(1 Jn 2:22,23)
There are so many passages in the bible that point to THE Antichrist as one man. Sure, there have been many "antichrists" throughout history(Hitler, Nero, WTS, etc, etc,), but according to the bible the antichrist will be identified as the man who will at some point sit in God's temple and proclaim to be God.
3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness [ b ] is revealed, the son of destruction, [ c ] 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.(2 Thess. 2:3-4)
...there are also many prophecies about the antichrist in the book of Daniel also.
Personally, based on this information, I believe that the WTS, since they deny the Son, will accept or bow down to The Antichrist when he does come. The WTS will instruct through "new light" that this is what their members are supposed to do.

i would like to atleast flip through them each month to see the doctrinal winds of change.
i also like to look for hidden subliminal demonic creatures in the illustrations.

My mom sent me one via mail and also assured me by letter that I will be getting one in my door soon too. I haven't received it yet in my door and I have been slightly dissappointed because I would like to atleast talk to them about it.

This might be a little far-fetched, and draw some criticism, but I think they are preparing their believers to accept the coming "Antichrist" who will claim to be "The Christ".
When I say Antichrist, I don't mean wicked governments who force Jdubs to celebrate holidays, I mean a man who sits in God's temple and claims to be The Christ. A man who will perform miracles and establish a temporary peace on earth. A man who will force everyone to worship him. I personally believe that the WTS will accept this man and this acceptance will be "new light" to lead all members in acceptance as well.
