  i told blondie i'd do the comments this week to help give her a bit of a break.

  this week's study is all about resisting the spirit of the world.

  this is nothing new really-----they've been preaching this for decades, but it still unbelievable how hypocritical they can be......... the study article is in black, my comments are in blue and unless otherwise noted, all scriptures are from the nwt.. .

  They talk about honesty.There was an article on the internet about a larger number of J.W.elders etc. who stole,deceived people of money big time that are in jail.I'll try an find the link.

  There must be trble in pair a dice land.Marrages falling apart,poor meeting attendance,donations down.What is it with all the ot examples,murder,adultery,multiple wives.David David who would want to fallow his example.Wasn't he the one that had a funny victory dance that one of his wives told him to smarten up only to be punished and not have any children.Also if it wasn't for dfs the divorce rate would be skyhigh in lala land.

  i remember arguing with a bethel elder friend of mine during a long ride to an assembly about the"new light" in 1995....that the generation of 1914 is not the "this generation" that jesus referred to: .

  (luke21:32)32 truly i say to you, this generation will by no means pass away until all things occur.

  yep....pretty damm simple to me for 45 years...the generation that sees all the "signs" will not die before armageddon....thus we honest hearted ones pleaded with our back calls, or return visits to study with us before it is too late!....the time is soooo short, cause these 1914 folk are gettin damm old!....hurry in and be saved!.

  oompa I feel for you you must hurt alot, it's so sad what this evil org does to people.Also how many believe so strongly in it.Many here have a hard time because one or the other spouse(usually the wife) is hard wired to the org and you can't change her way of thinking.The hurt,the sad feelings,the broken hearts,so sad.We can see the bright light of how wrong this org is but how can you part with a loved one who is in the darkness,in the dungeons of the org.I could cry a river of tears for all the hurt this org does to people.I don't know what the answer is.

  the bible views human gov'ts as wild beasts.in romans 13:1,2 we are to be in subjection to this wild beast.in 1 tim 2:1,2 we should pray for kings/gov'ts.. why would i pray for a nazi hilter, j.stalin,a.pinochet,r.mugabe,g.bush/b.obama.look at the african countries of burundi,etritrea,ethiopia,sudan,darfur and zimbabwe.just to name a few countries and some dead dictators.. the wbts says these "superior authorities" provide a measure of stability.in view of the above gov'ts do you think prayers for these kings/gov'ts to god are a whole lot of smoke out the ass?.

  ya a beautiful fall day here....trees ablaze with color...and a slight drizzle...me sippin yummy coffee...wife crammin her bookstudy book, then off to meeting and service........god she dresses up a lot!....i fogot how much i did that.....i have about $2000,00 of suits getting dusty in my closet if anybody needs a 42 long btw......so i just asked myself and sooo wanted to ask my wife "why are you really going out in service today?

  ".......and there are many automatic jw answers:.

  1. jesus said we must go and make disciples, and it is the loving thing to do..........2. because the time is short and have to save as many as possible......3. because we love our neighbors ( but i cant frikin have them over for a grillout!).........

  It is all about counting time and the power of the GB over the R&F.EX. Aux poineer,how many hours do you have or I got 44 hours already and it is only the 15th.If these blokes were in sales they would be sleeping in parks or homeless.Pathetic bunch.You are so right 1,000.000.000 of hours and 1,000,000,000 of wasted dollars and no results.Oh,they have increases in poor countries where the leaders beat the shit out of their young ones and get dunked because water doesn't hurt like the whip.

  i thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.

  i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.

  those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.

  It is all about power and control.They said the R&F read to much into 1975.Yeah after they sold their belongings,went preaching so they could see the end of the system that didn't happen.The GB did not care about the hard ship of those who listen,instead they blamed the R&F.Fast forward to today.The GB is saying the same thing,the end is at hand,not around the corner,but in the last hour.Yes,the GB is saying the same thing today as they did in the sixy and seventy,sell your house,simpify your life go preach because the end is at hand.You don't need higher education,etc,etc.

  The UN,they will not admit the truth or the reason that they joined/registrated.They will not admit the truth or reason for 1975.They will not abmit the reason for 1914 generation.They will not admit the reason for 2000.They will not admit the reason for 2004-07.The GB is all about POWER AND CONTROL.They could give a rats ass about the R&F.Any R&F questions their authority gets the BOOT via disfellowshiping.It is power and control.Now if they only followed the example of Christ Jesus.

  just been having a flick through the dec 15 & jan 15 jw only watchtowers.

  (and no - i dont know how to pdf them or anything else!).

  unusually there isnt a single mention glorifying the fads - in fact , jehovahs channel or any other similar expression isnt referenced at all (other than a single scriptural reference in the review of revelation in the dec 15th issue.).

  Talk of BS,they sound like those TV evangelizers.They also throw in things about people who disagree with this BS.Things like enemies of David,etc.

  I wonder why God sent his son to undone A/E sin, set a time limit and didn't keep it.See the three EX. they gave about God killing people before his own time limit.(flood,S/G,angel of death and many others)
