  JW's Defend 607 BCE Teaching!

  my father (who's an elder) just sent me this link...and i'd like to get yall opinions on it before i call him back:.

  apostates and other opposers argue that jerusalem was not destroyed in 607 bce, but in 587 bce, and provide what they claim is archaeological evidence to support this.

  if 607 bce is wrong, then the seven times prophecy ending in 1914 ce would be wrong also.. .

  See the book "Battles of the Bible" -----Fall of Judah 588-586 BC. As for Bible interpetation and dates,the GB/WBTS are about as swift as the Sadducees when they Q'd J.C. about the resurrection in Luke ch.20.Just look at their history 'the generation that saw 1914 would not die before the end" but it doesn't stop there, the list goes on and on with their wrong dates.

  USA Memorial attendance over 50k more from last year:DUH 4% increase in new pubs=over 40k.Canada:Had to raise roof and reinforce floor for new press----Good future planning or should I say lack of planning,You can't even plan for future expansion let allow teach the Bible.

  thinking of the story of the way that jehovah, through samuel and saul, dealt with the amalekites; with the discovery of the criminal gene, could this justify the god of the bibles actions against these nations, when he put out the order to not have compassion for them, and the israelites were ordered to put to death, man as well as woman, child as well as suckling...??

  I agree with cantleave.However,what was the time frame?: Did not the killing happen 430 years later, when Israel left Egypt?Why not kill the original Amelikite pop.Than that brings it back to cantleave answer.

  but, are you scared to watch the news?

  purely for the fact of seeing things go on in the world that would prompt you to think about your jw upbringing?

  You are so right,when I read the WATCHTOWER or AWAKE it scares to BEE GEE'S out of me.To think that I got suckered into this mind control Org.that cost me a shit load of trouble,man oh man it makes you shake in your boots.The NEWS is childs play.What people fail to see about todays news is the many ways it is b'cast,T.V.,internet,ipod.youtube,etc 24/7.

  Also when some trifle thing happens today,which happened 100's of time before the WT witnesses will say"did you hear on the news today such and such happened, boy we are in the end, the end is so close,bah.bah bah."They wish for the end but they are only wishful thinkers.Do not fall for thier propanganda.

  well- you knew this was coming next after the article of how to be jesus friend.

  so the wt society was setting it's members up to seek friends only in the ranks of jehovah's witnesses.

  basically in this article " maintaining friendships in a loveless world " - even from the title you get the impression the wt is showing that the world is loveless- but the jehovah's witnesses are not.

  it is only proper for a c.o.to follow the directives and orders of the org.. however,lately the c.o.

  directives wrt employment,have been cut down hours.

  However,lately the C.O. directives wrt employment,have been cut down hours

  of work,cut out OT,wivies should not work etc. All this would be OK,if not for the

  resolution that he asked the Congreg to pass ie AACO(assist arrangement c.o.)

  Which included expenses for Dentist,Optometrist,Pharmacist,etc this is above

  and beyond for the expenses the Congreg pays for already.

  How can anyone give those type of directives when a survey was done in a

  National newspaper saying the following"Tough economic times could be a serious

  health hazard for.........., 40% overwhelmed or stressed financailly,25% have cancelled

  or delayed dental(not the C.O. his is paid for by congreg) appt to save money,14% delayed

  or stopped buying prescription medication,(not the C.O. his is paid for by).

  He also mentioned not the worry because the new system is just around the corner.

  That might be so but who wants to live like a wild animal only concern for the days meal.
