WANTED ! JW Apologist
by wobble inthis must have been mentioned before, but now reniaa is back it could be fun.. if jw's are even part way to the truth, and all other religions are false, then they must have a doctrine that is unique to them, given by holy spirit, but plainly taught in the bible, without resorting to fancifull exegesis and bouncing around from verse to verse out of context etc.. what is that doctrine?.
love.

I do not believe that the watchtower religion is the true one. Why,because of all the lies, dishonesty,
hypocrisy,etc,etc.Examples:1914 generation,sheep & goats,UN,etc,etc,.Back in the1970's a brother
did not believe the 1914 generation,he got disfellowshipped for apostasy(unforgivable sin against
the FDS).Unfortunate the poor soul died before 1995 when the FDS saw it fit to change the defination
of a generation. My bet if he was alive the FDS would not be humble enough to apologize.
One other example:a watchtower for the public and a different one for the members of (the wbts).
Now the FDS reasons is because the beliefs are unique to the wbts members and the public would
not undersatnd their unique beliefs. To me it says they do not belief that the Bible is God's word. The Bible
is God's word and should be preached world wide. That is why you educate the public using only his WORD
and not some secret watchtower.Should not their members be well versed and indoctrinared in their
watchtower beliefs w/o a special mag. Also, they(wbts) have a website,do they withhold the members
watchtower only from the public.Do they stepulate that there is a members/public watchtower......
You see the dishonesty. There are so many other things....who cares not me.

As a JW Did you Feel you Could Fully Trust the Elders ?
by flipper ini know for many of the 44 years i was in the jw cult from birth - i felt i could.
or should i say i was conditioned to feel that " i should " trust the elders.
as jehovah's witnesses we were all told the elders were " crags in a waterless country " who would be a " spiritual stronghold " for us.

"Millions Now Living Will Never Die" was told to be literally true
by VM44 inin the 1920's the watcthower had the "millions now living will never die".
in the proclaimer's book there is a photo of a bible students book booth with a sign that said in large letters, "millions now living will never die!
this is literally true.

bobld
People with an IQ of room temperature believe this to be true.In this century comments
made at meetings and book study groups, said what the FDS said back there is applicable(true)
today.Because their are millions now living today(2008) that will never die before this systems end.
Yeah and in 100 years from now they will say"the FDS was/is right millions now living will never
die before the end." However,by than there should be 144,000 partakes of wine/bread.Oh.maybe
they will see the Lord coming in the clouds.

Interesting comment by a JW regarding the new schedule
by wha happened? ina buddy of mine who is still serving and doesn't treat me like a leper was chatting with me about the new bookstudy arrangement and the meetings in general.
he stated that the way the parts are set up now, that simply winging the answers from the km or other study material, is next to impossible.
he went on to state that he understood that the society is pushing for more pre-study.. at the risk of sounding bad, are there any thoughts on a push to get rid of the fence sitters?.

Are we obedient to the faithful slave with this new arrangement.Because of high costs are we not thankful
for this arrangement(see2009 yearbook). However, they have a very short memory because there were
congregations (rural) that combined many meeting to save on gas, weather conditions etc. What happened
they shut them down and sold the kingdom hall. Why,because at that time it was 3 meeting at the times
that the faithful slave said,no if buts or questions. You do as we say.

Does God have a name.In the Watchtower "A person may be called Sir,Boss,Dad,or Grandpa,
depending on the circumatances. But his personal name reminds us of everything we know
about him." They try to incorportrate this illustration with the importance of God's name.
"How can you really know God without knowing his name?It is important not only to know but
also to use that name."Than they quote John 4:23,John 14;6,John17;3 and Luke 10;22. in
each of those scriptures Jesus referred to God as Father.
When I call my Grandpa..Grandpa or my Dad-- Dad it reflects my personal relationship with
them.At family get togethers,be it Xmas,Easter, family re-unions we all refer to Grandpa/Ma or
Dad/ Mom.They did this or that and the many things.Grandpa/ma have been gone for
over 50yrs and Mom/Dad over 30yrs.After all this time we still refer to them as Grandpa etc.
And not as Grandpa B.Smith or Dad J.Smith.Just imagine around the Xmas table asking
Mr.B.Smith please pass the butter,Mr J.Smith please pass the bread instead of saying
Grandpa/Dad.Does using a name tell, if a persons knows something about him? Also
even with work mates we always refer to our parents as Mom/Dad and the know
who we are talking about and likewise when they talk about their parents as Mom/Dad
we know who they are talking about. What did Jesus say?"Our Father........" Yes a very
personal relationship with his Dad.
Sorry for the double space and the rant.

by bobld init is hard to imagine a mother killing her daughter.who would or could do such a detestable act.. i can not comprehend just a terrible deed.the girl's father said"the center of my happiness is.
shattered and hopes and dreams wiped away in one selfish act.

I can not comprehend just a terrible deed. The girl's father said"The center of my happiness is

this tragedy.
How about another tragedy that very few talk about (Religion). How many children are sacrificed (killed)
each year in the name of religion by listening to their leaders. How many thousands are ostracized
by not listening to their religious leaders. How many of these are killed by way of suicides because
they were ostracized.Yes it is hard to comprehend a mother killing her own daughter,Yet these
religious leader don't give a second thought to all the killing of poor innocent children.I cannot
believe .............................

What Have YOU Learned About Jehovah's Witnesses That You Didn't Know Before?
by minimus inanything come to mind??
?.

Just listening to the elders prayers and the comments at the meetings. Makes one think that the G.B. is God.Also the
average J.W. has a very short memory and will believe everything that the G.B. says.Plus all the bs that I cannot
erase w/o getting in family trouble.

a single sister, jessica, visited her assignment and spent two futile weeks looking for housing.. the day before she was to return to bethel to pack her things, she was overjoyed when a local.

It was brought to my attention, how Jehovah's is blessing the new arrangement
of re-assigning of Bethel family members (more like fired members).Ex."For example,
a single sister,Jessica, visited her assignment and spent two futile weeks looking for housing.
The day before she was to return to Bethel to pack her things, she was overjoyed when a local
elder offered her a small house that she could rent for a modest amount."
Do they encourage single sisters to apply to Bethel?
What gives,a single sister assigned to a congregation and no one puts her up.
She has two weeks to find a place come hell or high water, because sister your apartment
at Bethel has been sold.So come back and get your things or they will be in the garbage.
The local elder is in the renting business, why is he not simplifying his life.Yet this elder
will get on the platform and talk about materialism. The big question is why did the local
elder wait for two weeks before offering this single sister a place to rent.God almighty,
the love and compassion this local elder showed this sister and takes money from her.
I am sure the sister saved a lot of money while she was at Bethel. Now why would the GB/FDS
print such story in their yearbook. What point are they trying to make?
The poor sister, spent two futile weeks looking for a place to stay and this selfish local elder
has a house for rent and does not tell the sister. With the economy the way it is,he could not
rent his house. So why not get some money out of this poor sister, shame, shame, shame local
elder/GB/FDS.
