  In humans,sex is determined by a specific set of chromosomes.From conception to birth we can see the sex differences in human physiology.What determines sexual orientation (SO).Is it genes/hormones/psychological/behavioral/biological.Would (SO) be noticed at birth or later in life.What is the latest research?

  i know that it must seem silly to ask, but my brother and his family think that the big a will arrive before they die.

  i tried to explain to my brother that everyone else who has ever lived in the past has died and only jesus has [physically] rose from the dead.. it is amazing that anyone could buy that line.

  what crazy cult culture that could make people believe such nonsense?!.

  I never did.I bet $1000.00 that 1975 will come and go like any other

  year.I am waiting for my grand.

  40 yrs later they are down playing their little game by admitting that

  older ones may die before the end.(how sad)

  Never the less by reading their latest publications they are pushing

  "simplify your life(sell hse),materialism,ministry just like pre 1975.

  Can you believe their "this generation" are getting on in years:yet,they will not

  i’m sitting there in the kingdom hall just thinking how rich it is of the gbojw to preach about materialism when they have recently been evidenced to be using bro’s & sis’ contributions to the world wide work to travel business class!

  just that thought alone was leading me to read scripture while they were all engaged in the wt “study”.. however, then it came to paragraph 17 and i blurted / choked a little.

  the paragraph said that “we should not imitate the people of ‘the nations,’ who have no real faith in a loving heavenly father who cares for those who put the interests of his kingdom first in their life.”.

  A want is not essential for everyday living.So why do you have air-conditioning in

  kingdom halls,homes,cars.

  para 2 In developing countries....many may simply want to have enough money

  to buy an air-conditioner.I am sure in some African countries it gets very hot-humid.

  i noted that as 2014 approached, the gbojw became somewhat reticent about making reference to revelation 12:12 – the “short period of time” scripture.

  so this study is the first one in a long time in which both the 1914 doctrine and revelation 12:12 are mentioned in the same study.

  I thought Rom 6:7 was with reference to original sin only.We still sin and are judged

  it’s been a while since i posted some thoughts of mine concerning the jehovah’s witnesses and the watchtower babble and trash society.

  okay, i will be respectable and say it right, the watchtower bible and tract society.

  i do, however, think about the doctrines quite a bit as well as the overall doctrines from christianity in general.

  I read somewhere (sorry,I forget where). I've sometimes thought that if my parents

  had always referred to the sky as green instead of blue.I'd have had a very hard time believing my own eyes.I trusted them,and would have had tried to reconcile the information I received from them with what I saw.

  So they believe the myths knowing it is wrong and try and reconcile it to keep the peace as it were.

  Just realized they changed maybe the most important scripture in the bible.

  i just read the scripture then went and checked in thier older bible and it read the same so i check the greek interlinear and yes they changed john 3:16 .

  the verse reads "all who believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life" the cult version says "exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life".. so not only do they say one must exercise faith meaning having to work for it but also they changed should not perish but having everlasting life to might not be destroyed again making a caveat where one does not exist.

  just to add to the point verse 18 in both bibles says the one having faith is not judged, totally blowing up thier version of 16 but of course they change 18 to say exercising faith too but it makes little difference, since it says not judged.

  I always thought works meant to over come your sinful tendencys

  because you can have faith but it is meaningless if you are sinful

  this weeks book study lesson was on martha, the sister of lazarus.

  the chapter in the "imitate their faith" book praised her for being "industrious".. the conductor at our congregation meeting was just positively gushing about how "industrious" modern-day jw women are.. he was so exciting, he could barely get the words out.

  My comment see matt 5:28 just change the gender when reading the scripture.
