I suppose they view the rule more as discriminatory than protective, but where's the wisdom in giving a homosexual man free access to young boys?

SO MUCH FOR PREVIOUS TRADITIONAL MORALS
by REBORNAGAIN inthe city of philadelphia has decided to punish the boy scouts of america because it will not allow homosexuals to serve as scout leaders.
city officials said they will charge the cradle of liberty scouts council $200,000 a year to use the city-owned headquarters.
the council was paying $1 per year (since 1928).

Correcting Misinformation
by minimus inif you see that something a poster states is actually inconsistent or inaccurate, will radar go off in your head to call the person on it?
i think we should be more aware, not paranoid or judgmental, but more alert to phony posters or those that try to spread inaccurate information.

Did you find the wedding picture of David Hasselhoff and Paris Hilton (standing in for Linda and Trevor) entertaining? I certainly did!

The principle of elders taking to task members of
the congregation who offend Christian values is, to
me, no more than I would expect. And no more than was
practiced in the first century. I see nothing
draconian or sinister here in principleIt is these very elders who make it quite difficult for a member to leave of his own free will. All family and social ties within the congregation must be cut. Despite the fact that God himself endowed mankind with free will, there's no easy way for a JW to leave even though no "Christian values" were offended. Jesus pontificated the importance of love in Christianity, going as far as to encourage love for one's enemies. However, one who leaves is treated as an outcast ... even worse than an enemy! How draconian is that?

My wife thought that going to the meeting was more important than helping her ageing parents to move in.
So much for "Honouring your parents" eh?

More 'brothers' are deciding to eat lunch in their cars in the car park and not enjoying fellowship in the specially assigned eating area, which you can imagine was about half empty.
That's your answer right there! There's simply no enjoyable fellowship at the assembly anyway, so why not enjoy what lunch you have in your car? First you're "advised" not to leave the Assembly compound to purchase lunch, now they're even griping about having lunch in your car ... jeez!
