What a load of crap! So what's the big deal if the WBTS building's still standing ... look at how many others are standing!!!!!!
Why do they talk about things they haven't a clue about?
so my sister-in-law, who is a pretty hardcore jw, showed me an email that looked like it had been passed around quite a bit, so i figured someone on here had probably seen it.
supposedley it's a picture from the movie "i am legend" where will smith is walking through new york and all the buildings in the background are in ruins except for the bethel building, which stands out, undamaged and clean.
i watched the movie and don't remember seeing anything like that so i just figured that some jw photoshopped it and sent it out to the jw community to show that the bethel building is protected by god even in a post apocaliptical world run over with zombie vampires.

well lets get off to a good start for the year by using jesus to justify staying with your abusive husband:.
thursday, january 3. when [jesus] was being reviled, he did not go reviling in return.
when he was suffering, he did not go threatening.-1 pet.
So what makes them think the abusive husband will be any less abusive if he becomes a JW? Oh yeah, they really don't give a hoot about the abuse ... I forgot.
so it's january 1 and i want to lose ten pounds in ten weeks.
i've been on a diet for a year and a half and have lost 130 pounds.
weight loss has slowed down, so i need more focus and more exercise.
Too much water is overrated...if you are overweight you will have a tendency to store water in your tissues...
I think that's debatable. Your body only retains water if you haven't been drinking enough. Drinking more water is the perfect solution for water retention ... a hydrated body has no need to retain water. For most of us, by the time we feel thirsty we're already dehydrated. Ideally, we're supposed to drink enough water so that we never get to the point of thirst.
setting: sunday talk.
brother giving the talk (bgtt): 'a co told me' (he said that as in god told me), 'the only three reasons for missing a meeting are...' (drum roll) ... 'the three fs'.. me (thinking): wtf?
mmm.
what if I am taking care of other people?
What? Why not just bring the person along to the meeting brother! Indeed a fine witness, and where else can someone experience loving care than at Jehovah's spritual table?
I can see him in a jaunty navy blazer, kacky trousers and nice soft pair of topsiders.
I was thinking more Armani ...
i found this an got a kick out of it...

I hope you put in your FS report for December .....
according to the wbts, common sense is quite uncommon in today's world.
http://www.watchtower.org/e/20050515a/article_01.htm.
they then go on to give 3 simple steps to obtaining it:.
You would not want to associate with a group of people that only want to see how many drugs they can get you to do. You also would not want a group that wants to mislead you and control everything you do all the time.
Of course! But it takes common sense to make such wise decisions .......
why not accept the offer to study two jw books, in return that the caller study the franz books?
it would be fairly easy to set up a study schedule and questions.. what is the worse that could happen?
someone desparate enough for a study to agree or the caller getting back in the car and marking your house with a big fat red a on the territory map.. thank you for considering my moment of apostate evilness.. y.
That would be a sure way to make them run away screaming ... NEVER TO RETURN! lol
the following is taken from: http://www.watchtower.org/e/20041208a/article_01.htm.
centuries ago, the bible warned of dangers posed by evil men described as master[s] at evil ideas and scheming to do bad.
(proverbs 24:8) the prophet jeremiah described them as wicked men whose houses are full of deception.
Perhaps they need some help to remove that gigantic rafter from their own eye!
i was out of the truth and in a relationship for 4 years.
i didn't go to the meetings at all, my bf lived with me, and we celebrated holidays.
i never stopped believing the truth.
If you're inactive, you're not really being a JW in the true sense. As was said earlier ... you're sitting on the fence between JW and "the world".
Perhaps it would be helpful for you to do some serious soul searching and decide what you truly want ... to be a JW, or not. If you wish to remain a JW, then be prepared to accept the inevitable ... slim pickings in the relationship department (as you already acknowledged).
