  well, it's late.

  i need to go to sleep, got home from work, but i thought i started a newbie thread why not a thread for those who have been on the board a long time , or for awhile now ?

  so, lay it on me, what are your concerns for jwd ?

  The job is as a computer technician for a mom and pop computer store. It's what I did for eleven years (or pretty close) when I was in California. It takes full advantage of my skill sets. Or at least computer work is where I really shine. I can't wait.

  My First Interview

  well, all that work on my resume has finally paid off.

  i just received a telephone call to set up my first interview.

  it's today at 1:00. if anyone has any access positive vibes or warm thoughts, i'd sure appreciate if you could send them my way.

  Oh really! What bluster and nonsense, and you know it.

  No offense, but I don't see this conversation being beneficial. You have now just told me what I know. You are now, apparently, inside my head, running through my brain cells, checking synapses, and analyzing the data. That's a pretty cool trick considering we aren't even in the same city.

  What I'm getting at is I don't think you are viewing this rationally. You called Mincan an idiot. You told me that you can't figure out how I can manage to get up in the morning. It appears to me that you are full of anger. I would seek anger management training if I were you.

  I guess what it comes down to is that if the mods don't mind you calling people idiots, that's their decision. If you feel comfortable being so abusive and nasty with other people, well, my guess is you are probably dealing with the results from that decision on a daily basis anyway. I don't know, it's just a hunch.

  someone here recommended this book to me.

  i finished it in the wee hours of the morning and now feel a little like my brains have been scrambled.

  from what mr merritt wrote kind of reminds me of scientology.

  My very First Ex-JW Meet-UP.............

  there is a meet-up planned for this saturday at a local restaraunt.

  I've had a great time at the meet-ups I've attended. I'd attend more but they are about ninety miles away and I really can't afford the gas right now.

  The coolest part of attending one of these, is that you will be around people who understand you. You don't have to define terms or have people look at you funny when you mention "the cult" or any of the jw related terms.

  Plus, it's very affirming to see with your own eyes other people who have escaped and are doing OK.

  Does Debating Have to Be Abusive - To Be Effective ?

  my wife and i were having an interesting discussion about some of the debates that take place on the board here .

  now, granted most people , i feel upwards of 90 % on the board maybe higher try to be respectful in their debates or discussions on topics.

  i think we all had enough bashing in the witness organization.

  Those who choose to be abusive say more about themselves than they could ever attempt to say about their target.
