  Thanx for the puppy love

  my mom let me read the thread you guys wrote about my puppy.

  i just wanted to thank each and every one of you for the love.. my mom just sucked me into the boards i always use her id so i think i'm going to need my own now .

  sorry for all of your animal losses i read a lot of interesting stories, the puppy is burried in the backyard and so are my two bunnies, my grandma's dog, two other dogs baby kitten(s) a full grown cat, and an iguanna.

  I really need some advice

  i want to contact my adult children and let them know i do love them.

  they only 2 out of 4 called me and when they thought i would die from cancer wanted to get something.

  i do really love my kids ages 26 to 32 and am so depressed tonite.

  I hope the outpouring of love is soothing. I definitely agree on writing things down. It not only helps you heal just to get it out, but it's a lot easier to combat your disquieting thoughts when you can see them down on paper. They aren't as intimidating like that.

  It seems paradoxical that they quite readily "disfellowship" members when there goal is growth?

  The jw excels at double-speak. If the organization is having an increase, it's jehovah's blessing. If it's having a decrease, we're near the end. Got a new car? Blessing from jehovah. Worldly person got a new car? Too materialiastic, or sold out to satan. No matter what happens, they turn it into proof that things are proceeding as planned and they are the ones who are right.

  Did Adam know the full consequences of his sin?

  "through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.

  " romans 5:12. this verse has been used to prove that adam was responsible for sin and death.. from a christian standpoint, this is true.

  did adam really know the full effects of eating the forbidden fruit?.

  Thinking of Visiting Bethel H.Q.

  i am planning a trip to nyc mid november and the thought has crossed my mind to visit bethel.

  i haven't been there ifn aprox 7 years and i am curious to see if anything has changed.

  specially with the layoffs and down sizing.. so, do i tell them i'm da ?

  Our Puppy did not make it.

  well after going to bed early for it has been a long day i was awaken by my fourteen year old and she was crying for the vet just called and the puppy i got them two weeks ago just died.

  the breeder was at an expo at city hall and they all gave me those "mom i am going to die if i don't have her" looks till i forked over money i did not have for this lil baby beagle.

  we brought her home and i thought my she must be so tired for she slept a lot the first day.

  Thanks abandoned. I have been following your story and when I get up to it this weekend I mean to respond to your posts. It is ok to cry. Sick of crying alone. Sucks! But tonight I am crying with 5 others and well that does not feel much better. Pretty funny really.

  Yeah crying alone sucks but it's SOOOOOO NICE to be able to tell people how you feel and what you think without worrying about who's ears it's going to make it back to. Sure, crying alone sucks but at least it's not the crying alone we had to do as part of the jw.

  there was a time when most jw's solemly believed that the "end" was comming in their life time, that the preaching work was a life saving work and the most important work on earth and that the wts was god's organization, god's agency, the only channel of communication on earth.

  i think that most jws today somewhat still vagely believe that now but i wonder, what is going on in the minds and hearts of the jws today?

  Exactly! All thinking is done by one of the comittees which rotates from one group to another so as not to be too taxing.

  There are some who make spectacular predictions of the world’s end to grab attention and a following, but others are sincerely convinced that their proclamations are true. They are voicing expectations based on their own interpretation of some scripture text or physical event. They do not claim that their predictions are direct revelations from Jehovah and that in this sense they are prophesying in Jehovah’s name. Hence, in such cases, when their words do not come true, they should not be viewed as false prophets such as those warned against at Deuteronomy 18:20-22. In their human fallibility, they misinterpreted matters.

  WOW! What can you say about crap like this? Were not false prophets because we actually believed our lies? Deuteronomy 18:20-22 doesn't say anything about the motive or emotional state or anything else about the prophet. It simply stated that if the words were from god, god would back them up. If god didn't back up the words, then the person was a false prophet.
